I think this means that the only thing they fix up is the engine?

If I saw that rod anywhere near me I would have do an HDR image of it, I bet it would look amazing with the right background.
Stephie you are right. Now that said that it rung a bell. Lol! Thanks
You are probably right. It was sitting at a festival. Fun day!

;) I go to a few car show. We have a '54 Chevy Truck & my dad has a '41 Chevy Coupe. Always fun to see what kind of cars ppl like & fix up.
I agree! Half of the park was filled up with old cars from a car club. Very interesting to see what they do with them. They were parked so close together that it was hard to get good shots but I was more interested in the rods. I may post one more old rust truck. It was pretty cool too!
Good shot,I also thank it would look good done in HDR.
Thanks, but I have no idea how to do that yet. I want to learn.
Susan, nice pic, but I strained to read the printing on the side of the door. I wish you had taken a closer shot of that. I will always wonder what it said.

These "Rat Rods" are a little over the top, but they usually have up to date safety equipment, many have disc brakes. They are meant to recall a bygone era in hotrodding. There is lots of interest in this in my area. A national magazine "Rat Rod" (
http://ratrodmagazine.com/) is published near by, and a large car club (Frankensteiners) is very active in the area.
The first word was unreadable but the next word said "Ventura". If I come across it again I will be more aware of those things. Yesterday was my second day of ever seeing a car show. I will know next time to take notes. Another show on April 6th I'll see what I can come up with. It was a RAT ROD!
