I use windows vista, photoshop elements 6. When I open my organizer the thumbnails have the date the photo was taken under them. They did have the photo ID# under them and I apparently did something to change it but I dont know what I did..... Can someone tell me how to change it back to where the photo ID# is under the thumbnail?

if the thumbnail is set to the smallest size ( slide bar) it will only show the date....as the thumbnail gets bigger the filename should show up. See if it shows the information when you slide the size bar to full size.

hey, don't laugh.....I use Elements all the time, and when I went to the organizer to see what you were referring to, I found that I had the same problem. YIKES!...After searching around for a while I discovered the problem ( we both overcomplicated it... ha ha )

You might like using Picasa, as an organizer, and open the photos (left click on the photo) with Photoshop or Elements.

Picasa is free it goes through your system and finds all photos.. If you have them in folders it will display each folder separately. It will not move or change the location of anything, but may make things easier for you to find, email, or send out for printing. It also has some decent special effects that you might like. You would not be risking anything by downloading the program.

I think you may well like Picasa; it has an easy learning curve and as mentioned, nice effects.
