I just thought I'd put this out there, as I've seen a few people lately asking about what might be a decent, budget-priced zoom lens. After looking at my local camera shop's website it has become apparent that Tamron is extending their $100 rebate on the SP 70-300mm Di VC USD Zoom lens and a few others, as well.

Here's a crop of one I shot with mine last weekend....

Thanks, It still takes a little luck to get get them to come close enough for a decent picture, but when they do it can be quite rewarding. For me, when shooting this kind of stuff, I usually get somewhere around 20% of my shots for consideration, and maybe 10% that I might want to show people after cropping and post processing.

The lens is on a Canon 650D (T4i)
