Many images are available on sites such as I-Stock, Big Stock, etc.

On eBay search for "digital backgrounds"
What kind of backgrounds/scenes are you looking for? Maybe some on UHH have something you are looking for and may be willing to share with you????

I get all my backgrounds from places like fabric stores, ceramic tile, wallpaper sites, things like that.
Of course my pictures are almost universally dogs, but here are a few that have gone over great-
1-black crocodile
2-Marmoleum linoleum-theirs are great.
3-Fabric-the darker the background the better.
I have 12,000 and some of these! May not do for what you are doing, but there are plenty of plain ones!

every time I go out I think about backgrounds. Shoot a nice cloud formation, a yard full of leaves, a nice rock. I even shot the front of a tire.

me too! I have folders of photos of clouds, leaves, planks, etc.
