Hi DWHJR. I am using the Canon 7D with this lens. It works fine. You will find several UHH people that are using the 7D or other Canon cameras with this lens.

Today is the last day B&H photo has this lens on sale.

thanks for the speedy reply. If I recall correctly Canon would not release the algorithms (this is way over my head) to Sigma, so it becomes a matter of trial and error to get a lens to match my camera. there is only one camera shop near by but there is such a savings buying on line and then figure the tax difference, it adds up to about 250 bucks. I support the camera shop when I can, but I cannot pick their brain and then order on line.

O.K. Here is my first shot with my new Sigma 150-500 mm lens. I shot in Raw, hand held, ISO 200,1/400,F 11, at 500 mm. Very nice lens.

Very nice. Your shutter speed is calculated to show just a bit of blaring in the blades. At 1/500 sec. you would probably have frozen them, which loses the impression of movement.

Hi PNagy, Thanks for your comment. Yes, I did want to show a little movement in the rotors. When they are frozen it looks like were placed there.

Nice shot. Have you micro adjusted the lens focus to the camera ?? I assume you have OS and were using it. Keep in mind ALL lenses look good at f11 .

No I haven't. I'm really not sure how to do it. I didn't have OS on when I shot the picture!

I love my Sigma 150 - 500 mm too.
I find it a little heavy to hand hold so I use a monopod or tripod.
