Biography: Hello, I´m new to this community, my name is Allan and I was born In Westmannislands (Iceland) 1960, my father was born on the island too, but my mother is from the Faroe islands, and I call myself an Islander, though I have not lived In westmannislands for over 35 years, or since the Volcano started (1973) and had to abandon the island. My roots and my playgrounds are gone, but I love my birth place and always will. I´m a father of 3 and have one grandson who is 4 years old
I bought my first photographic camera when I was 10 ore 11 years old, it was an Agfa (6x6) film camera, I lost it with our house under lava 1973, I bought me a new one 1974 another Agfa 35 m/m reflex with 35 m/m lens f.1.2. Used that one for years or until I got Minolta Maxxum 7000 with 35-70 f4 and 70-210 F4 Minolta AF lenses, Sony 70 -200 F2.8. is also in my collection. When this DC generation arrived I have had few models, Fuji, Panasonic DMC-FZ10 (grate camera), and now I have Sony Alfa 100, bought it so I could use my old Minolta lenses. Resent lee I bought a new Sigma lens 17-70 f.2.8 micro and I´m happy with it.
