For the last 3 years I have been shooting with a Canon T1i and love it but I wanted more. As I worked on my lense collection I have been planning my next camera. For the longest time I was set on the mark II but then I started following the Canon 7D. I decided that when all is said and done , the MarK II would be my main camera (for weddings and portraits) and the 7D (for sports and wildlife) would be my backup. The T1I would be passed to my daughter. I new that it would be a few years for this to come about , so I went with the 7D as my main camera (just got it) and the T1i as backup. I love it. The 8 fps is great for my bird shots. Check out the 7D as an alternate to the Canon 5D Mark II.

Greetings to you all. I have been following this forum for quite awhile now and really enjoy it. There is such a broad range of input, from beginner to pro. I am another one of those Baby-Boomers over 60 that has, for some reason, become obsessed with photography and buying equipment. I am glad that I am not alone.
Thank you for all of your shared knowledge.

P.S. I have Canonitis and it is contagious.
