Was on adobe chat asking about using the program offline after activation ... could not
get the agent to understand my question ... they kept telling me I had to have internet connection.

Got my answer hear pretty quickly.

Thanks

Adobe chat agent may have been trying to say that you needed an internet connection to download the update?

cjc2 - thanks for trying to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, but defeat won! It's an older (but new) CF card, not CFe, so even the size is wrong - it won't even begin to fit into the slot on the camera for the memory card. I should have hesitated when I saw that the second slot on the D850 appeared to take a CF card, as this is what I used to use on the D300s many years ago... Live and learn, as they say, and hopefully someone can use a new CF card. Thanks for your thoughts!

Before you sell this, your D850 WILL take a CFe card, as long as it is a type B, and you have updated the firmware (free @ Nikonusa). If it is a CF card, or a CFe Type A card, no dice! PM me if you need further explanation. Best of luck.

Wow! Thanks - I will check this out - the size seems far off, but maybe I was making another mistake!
Thanks again - I'll let you know

I bought this by mistake, so the box is open, but the card is new. I thought my recently-purchased D850 would take a CF card in the "B" slot, but I found (duh?) that it takes a QXD, so I need to sell the 64GB CF card. I bought it for $41.95 but will sell for $30.00 plus shipping ($5-6.00?) because I have no use for it - you benefit from my mistake!

Hi - If after the dust settles, you still have the XQD card and reader for sale, please let me know as I'd like to purchase?

It was on eBay and the seller just had 8 cards, new in the wrapper. I bought all 8. There's a new function, at least new to me, on eBay called make an offer. I think the seller was asking something like $12 each and I offered $8 and the offer was accepted.

Got it - thanks for letting me know!

Thank you all! I am following your advice and in addition to SD cards I already own, I got a deal for a package of 8 SanDisk 64gb cards with up to 200mb read speed at $8 each. So I'm all carded up now! :)

Hi - I've looked at Amazon and Ebay to see if I could find this price and couldn't locate anything that inexpensive - can you tell me where you located this price? I have a similar need...
Thanks

I've done Ireland twice in a rental car. It's the only way to go. My advice is:

1. If you've never driven on the left, be VERY careful. Your brain will try to make you turn into the wrong lane.
2. Rent a car with an automatic transmission. Most people over there still drive cars with standard transmissions.
Shifting with the left hand can be a distraction if you're not used to it.
3. Look both ways before a turn. The cross traffic will be on the opposite lanes from the U.S.
4. Yield to cars coming from the right at a roundabout.

Not just driving - SOOOO many pedestrians are hit by cars and buses when they look left and step off the curb....

Got it! If you get the opportunity, go to the Aran Islands and/or the Blaskett Islands - they're both jaw-dropping. Also, the Beara peninsula. The beaches there look crystal blue like the Carribean...

We are doing the 2-week Rick Steves Best of Ireland tour, Dublin to Belfast. It seems very comprehensive. We want to add 5-7 days to our trip. Question: add time in Ireland——where? OR return to Iceland and do a couple of day tours to more remote areas we did not see 2 years ago on our self-drive Ring Road trip? We will fly Iceland Air. Thanks for suggestions.

BIG vote for the SouthWest quadrant of Ireland, especially for photographs. Your Dublin to Belfast leg won't give you nearly the beauty there is to see in the Ring of Kerry and other locales in the SouthWest quadrant. Rent a car so you can go where your whimsy takes you.

Photographers today face a troubling predicament – essential software that can only be accessed through expensive subscriptions plans. While I'm not a professional photographer, it appears that many on UHH are professional.

Subscriptions in every area of life are becoming more and more prolific. A friend recently pointed out to me that cars are going the subscription route as well - if you want cruise control, among other examples, you subscribe for it and pay a monthly fee to have it in new cars. I can't imagine where it will go next.

2 NIKON/NIKKOR LENSES: - USED, - IN MINT CONDITION, BOTH LOOK NEW AND WORK PERFECTLY!
NIKON AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5 – 5.6G ED VR LENS (US Model, with factory booklet), Lens hood and Hoya UV filter included
AND
Nikon AF-S FX NIKKOR 16-35mm f/4G ED Vibration Reduction Zoom Lens with Auto Focus for Nikon DSLR Cameras (US Model, with factory booklet and lens hood)
The 28-300 is GREAT for travel, landscape and portrait photography and is absolutely my FAVORITE lens. I’m selling it because I just bought a D850 camera and it came with both lenses, so I have two of the 28-300 and I don’t do much macro, group, cityscape, architectural or interior photography, so the 16-35 would be better used in someone else’s hands. The 16-35 is known for being “Nikon’s sharpest Ultrawide ever.” (Ken Rockwell)
These are fantastic lenses that I have to sell to pay for the D850 I bought, so you benefit!
Check out the Ken Rockwell reviews of both lenses – they’re both fantastic!
$500 each, or the pair for $900 (and there’s no sales tax or shipping charges!)
Contact Kevin on UHH or kotography4u@gmail.com or 301-404-6532 cell for any further details or photos of the lenses
