These were taken in NC. We are transplants from MI and raised our Alaskan Malamutes for a good 18 years, therefore, they are in many of my photos.

I know every bird in the neighborhood (that's about 38 acres and a meadow etc.) I try to take care of them all and I love photographing them. The chickadee profile pic is great. I am not crazy, but I do name some of the birds and try to learn their songs. My husband thought I was going a little off the deep end until he found a unique red cardinal and recognized it each day and then named him! Now he believes.
Anyone in NC to share wildlife with? We are just north of Charlotte.

Oh, Tammy, I miss Michigan. Never thought I would say it, but hubby got transferred here to NC and I hate it here. Make a great big snow ball for me, oh, and a perfect snow angel, especially if you just got out of an outdoor hot tub. Best snow angels!
Miss it, sigh....

Here are a couple that gave me a chuckle. My grandbabies visited me on our farm. You can piece together the rest of the story

Is the black and white photo the same boy barely (Ha, I made a joke !) holding on to it in the color photo above? Can't see his face, ahem, from that position but the shirt looks the same.

Oh this is such an easy topic!I could send hundreds(but, of course I won't)
You [/b]WILL get a chuckle out of these I assure you.

Oops, wrong description. Granddaughter, Emma letting my 10 month old Alaskan Malamute lick clean her fingers! She wanted to stick her hand down his throat !

But this is a great laugh! Look at the expression on his face, like, "You have got to be kidding" you can almost see the voice of utter discust. Happy Holidays!

I don't understand that, are you sure you got it right? A dark shot needs more light and vice versa.

Then rule of thumb for snow/beaches or areas like this is to overexpose by one or two f-stops. Take a test shot and use the one that looks best. You can also get a grey card and use that to set your white balance.

I don't quite get that one either. Can you explain why it works? Doesn't seem like it would.

Hi, my name is Ronda and I am retired so have more time to get back to the things I always enjoyed, like photography, drawing, working with and showing my Alaskan Malamutes. We lived in MI for 32 yrs. and are now transplants to NC. Big change! But, I still have my dogs, beautiful forests, mountains and beaches available to photograph here. Sorry, long intro.
My question is why is some of the photos I take in the snow coming out blue and some in the same area with the same camera come out with normal colors even if somewhat bleached out. I am not able to determine how to correct the color in an editing program. I am sure some one will have the answers. Thanks in advance.
