There are cities that are still working on separating their storm drain sewers and waste sewers because they were combined back in the day.

I haven't heard THAT phrase since basic training. Thanks for that. My other memory from those far away days at Ft. Knox:

2 More Weeks and we'll be home,
Drinking beer and pissing foam!

And here's one from those days I tried recently, and failed miserably. Does everyone remember having to be able to take your 'gun' apart and put it back together? In the dark, I mean? I thought I knew the camera pretty good, so I tried that recently. The day had been rainy and there was a haze in the air. The street light at the end of the street, about 100' away, beckoned. The roadway was wet and reflecting the bulb's light. Wire's to and from the pole were wet and occasionally dripping. So I decided to take a series of shots from the porch, varying the ISO, Speed, and Aperture, one after the other, in the dark. Just like the 'old days'. Total failure, so back to the manual!

Just a 70+ year old newbie here, reading the posts and hoping that osmosis will kick in soon! As to another post today, my Canon T2i manual is pretty damned good IMHO. I have it on my phone so it's at hand all the time.
