I've been happily using LibreOffice since it was developed by those other folks and called OpenOffice and there's no way you could interest me in M$ if they were paying me to take it (honestly, who thinks the "ribbon" was a good thing or improvement?)

Why does Donald Duck wear a jacket yet not wear pants?

Seems to be a family trait or maybe its a cultural thing (Daisy, Scrooge and his nephews don't either)?

Question is why doesn't it bother anyone else? Even in the snow they're butt nekkid.

Just a guess but Goofy also wore pants and cap; maybe Pluto wasn't into that whole appeasement of the majority shtick?

Which version?
I got me PD some years ago (5-6?) and soon afterwards the computer went belly up and I never got around to installing it on any of my newer ones as I don't do much video and DVDVideoSoft's FreeStudio's tools do what I need for the most part (paired with ImgBurn when I need to make a DVD or DVD ready files) but I do recall liking PD's capabilities and options. I may just need to poke around and find those install file(s).

Whether I'm taking a laptop or not my Penguin weatherproof cases go along and I sort through the cards when I get home (or the hotel business center or wherever).

I have one for each camera body (my T4i/650D has several SD cards set up with Magic Lantern so I keep them segregated even though they'll work in the T6/1300D).

They're dust and waterproof and - if I recall correctly - float.

The tape is to remind me visually which side of the case the ML chips are on

Plenty of room for chips so that even if I'm shooting video i shouldn't run out

Reviving this long slumbering threat to add that I've been using it (mostly the intervalometer for astrophotography sessions) for a little over a year. I'm still a long way from proficient with ML.

I had read that 32GB SD card was the maximum size usable but as I had some 64GB cards and usually use them I tried loading ML onto one and trying it out. Works just fine.

Later on I got to thinking that "I've got a couple 128GB cards" (for when I'm shooting video) so why not? Well I installed it and tried it out but nothing. So, at least for T4i/650D, 64GB SD card appears to be the maximum.

I have installed ML on my T4i/650D and am considering putting it on my T6/1300D.

I hesitated putting it on for a couple years but finally decided IF something goes bad that my T4i/650D is easy enough to replace at reasonable price.

I have not yet figured it all out and mainly use the intervalometer for astrophotography as I haven't really found any good tutorials on using it. I've been going through ML 2.3 Guide I found online but it doesn't really explain much.

If I can figure it out better, especially RAW video and the other video stuff, I'll take a look at putting in on my T6.

It's been a minute and I thought I'd share another, though slightly different type of, long exposure image: Light Painting

This is actually a composite from 3-4yrs ago, I was never able to write both names in one shot to my satisfaction. This/These were samples I made to show clients some of the different types and uses of light painting. This composite image is a semi accurate representation of the persons signature.

I don't have the original files with me but to the best of my memory it was a T4i with Tamron 18-400mm and settings of 6sec, 25mm, f/5.6, 800ISO for each name

So I recently revisited SiriL as I'd heard there'd been some changes since I last wrestled with it a year or so ago. Quite interesting now with a new interface and new or updated tools but it is still giving me fits trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
I've done a bit of manual preprocessing of data (gradient removal) as well as used premade scripts.
The new interface (version 1.0.0_rc2) is a radical change from what I'd previously been bashing my head against and took a minute or three to get accustomed to. It's now possible to preprocess, process & post process images all within SiriL though final touches still require a visit to G.I.M.P./RawTherapee/PS/...
As we've had nothing but clouds for longer than I can recall I've gone back to previous captures in hopes of learning SiriL's newer capabilities and the PCC (photometric color calibration) caught my eye. Not quite sure but sounds like it uses the same process as PI. However I have yet to get it to succeed. From what I'm reading my image (T4i/650D & Canon 75-300mm @ 75mm) is too wide field. I've tried cropping image (several different), still fails. Tried with linear, failed. Tried with autostretch, failed. I have submitted to http://nova.astrometry.net/ but have no idea what data I can use in PCC or how.
Any advice on successfully using PCC?
Any willingness to look at the file and try and see?
Any interest in processing the stack for deficiencies in my abilities? (I know they exist)

This is what I'm working on. Original data acquired Nov. of 2019 and processed with DSS & G.I.M.P. 140 light (75mm, f/4.0, 6sec, 3200 ISO), 80 darks, 30 bias frames

Thank you all for you kind words. My astrophotography, and especially my post processing, have a long way to go but it's nice to hear I may be on the right track.

Here are a couple favorites of mine though I'll have to let you decide if they comply as they are multiple "long" exposures stacked not single shots.

camera: Canon T4i; lens: Canon 10-22mm; settings: 12mm, 25sec, f/5.6, 800ISO; 379 light frames stacked in Sequator, post processed in GIMP

camera: Canon T4i; lens: Tamron 18-400mm; settings: 18mm, 13sec, f/5.0, 1600ISO; 120 light frames stacked in Sequator post processed in GIMP

camera: T6; lens: Tamron 18-400; settings: 18mm, 30sec, f/4.0, 1600ISO; 170 light frames stacked in Sequator, post processed in GIMP

Here's one of the old homestead from the bottom of the yard. This was not intended to be a finished product but more to verify where to set up at.
