I print at home and outsource my prints. I print a t home for the "need it right away" prints. I bought my large format refurbished espon printer directly through the epson website for under $150. A huge savings. I buy the ink, high quality photo paper, matts and frames in bulk. My printer can print up to 13x19.
When I outsource my prints I order them from White House Custom Color. They have an unbelievable selection of papers and print types. Prices are OK, but the Quality is superb!
I purchased the D750 with the 24-120 F/4 VR lens Refurbished through Nikon for only $1750 nearly 2 years ago. Who ever is trying to sell this to you for full list price is crazy. It is on sale right now through Nikon for $1999.95 (an $800 savings).
My 24-120 F/4 VR lens hardly leaves the body of my D750. If I am doing and event I'll put this lens on my D7200 and put my 70-200 F2.8 VR on the D750. Either way it is always with me as my most used lens. I am a lens-aholic and have way too many that I thought I had to have. I find it amazing that my "kit lens" is my favorite.
I don't have any birding experience, but I often carry 2 bodies while out and about. I typically have my D7200 (crop) and D750 (FF) attached to me via a triple harness. Another great option about the harness is the ability to latch on the added bags for lenses, flash, and stuff (bear spray).
The D850 is my dream camera. I currently have the D750, D7200, and D5300 (which is for the hubby so that he doesn't mess with my better cameras and/or lenses.
Your wife sounds awesome. My hubby lets me do what I want with our money because I am the penny pincher and the household book-keeper. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to purchasing anything related to my love of photography. I am always telling myself "no" when I pick up the D850 at the camera store. Some day I should bring the hubby with me, and I bet he would change my mind. This has happened before when he went with me to the Harley shop and I came home with my Fatboy.
Thank you for the idea.
I have pro grade lenses for my full frame camera. I would not waste my time putting my DX lenses on that body. My question is specific for the DX lenses on my crop bodies. If I put my 24mm DX lens on my crop body is it the equivalent of 24mm or 36mm?
I currently have a D750, D7200 and a D5300. I only have 3 DX lenses. I understand that using my pro-grade lenses on my crop bodies I have a 1.5 crop ratio. My question is......Is it the same when using the DX lenses or is a DX24mm actually 24mm?
I mostly shoot with my D750. For landscapes I prefer my 24mm, but if I am doing a bit of everything from street photography to portraits to landscapes I like my trusty 24-120mm F/4.
I purchased my D750 with the 24-120 F/4 lens refurbished through Nikon.usa. Best camera I've ever owned. The 24-120 F/4 lens is great. I have a large assortment of quality lenses but I tend to lean on this one a lot because it it very versatile.
I am pretty new to photography (about 5 years) and I also shoot full manual with only back button focusing

My favorite sling is Neewer Brand. It has very similar construction as the more expensive brands. The main reason I like it more than my other ones is......It has 2 zippered pockets built into the neoprene that perfectly fit my license, credit card, key fob and lens cap.
