I bought one at an auction in the 70's for $10.00. I still use it for mostly everything and love it.

No, the age of these paintings is not known, per se. Pigment samples from sites of this 'Style' elsewhere have been tested and assessed through either of several means, and some associative archaeology (testing of more easily datable cultural materials) has likewise been done. Very generally speaking, 'dates' have been assigned to the Mid and Late Archaic, or 2500 bc to 1 ad.

Thanks Cany143, I was just curious.

I have been trying to improve my photographs since i took my first photo on my Grandmothers Brownie Box Camera when I was about 4 years old. I was fascinated by capturing a slice of time that I could view, I thought forever. There were years I could not take many photo's but many I could and each one I try to make better than the last. It's like I cheated time and snatched a small second of it out to save. It's a great hobby, and I have been offered jobs taking pics, but never excepted because if I did, then it would be work and just would not be the same to me. It's different for others and I'm sure each are motivated differently. It's relaxing and self satisfying. I'm still trying to improve because each second of time I capture for me is precious and I want to preserve it better.

Are the ages of these paintings known? Great photo's, I would love to see the paintings in person.

I have the A99 and it is the best camera I have ever owned. I take mostly landscapes and photo's of my granddaughter, but I am amazed at how high I can turn the iso up and still get great shots. I also have the A7R3 and I find I shoot more with the A99 than any of the other cameras I have. You can use some great lens for the A99 also. I still use some of the old great Minolta Maxxum A Mount lens. They work fine and are still priced great for used lens.

Charleston SC is a great place to visit. Nice places to spend the night too. If you like history, you can find it there.

I was in Cholon and Saigon in 1968 and it sure looks different. I was stationed at the Rice Mill in Cholon. From January thru April, we did not get around a lot, but I learned to love Cholon and Saigon.

Great story and well deserved Medal of Honor. I served in Vietnam with a Medal of Honor winner, I was proud to serve with him. It was an honor for me to just have known him.

I bought a used mirrorless camera just to see how I liked it, and to see if I wanted to change. I had thought about buying a full frame mirrorless. I bought a Sony 500, I know it's not full frame, but is mirrorless, I had to buy new lens, extra batteries and extra's like for most cameras. I found it was not comfortable in my hands, I felt it was too light for me. I was more comfortable with the DSLR. I'm not changing, most of my camera's use the same batteries and lens. I like the way they feel in my hand and decided not to change what I have.

Rudbeckia and Queen Ann's Lace. These were growing by the road on the way to my house.
