It's funny how a search on Amazon can turn out. I've entered an item I wanted in the Amazon search box, and similar but different items have turned up, and I almost ordered them.

Yesterday, I realized we could use more washcloths, so I entered "washcloths," and it suggested "...dozen." I clicked on that, and the first item on the page was a pack of two dozen.

Then they had "Baby washcloths" listed. I don't want to wait for them to grow up! I want to use them now!

I'm sure all you Amazon shoppers are aware of this, but make sure what you're buying is what you actually want.

A little over a year ago, I was watching TV, and the electricity went off, then on, then off, etc. This continued for a short time, and then the TV went kablooie - the picture was all messed up. Since I couldn't get it to work, I bought a Samsung. It's not easy disposing of a 55" TV, so it's been sitting. The Samsung has only one HDMI port, so I never got around to connecting a DVD player.

Yesterday, I dragged out the "broken" TV and turned it on. It worked - sort of. I can't past by the Setup screen that selects a language, and at least one of the four HDMI ports is not recognized, but it can play DVDs perfectly! I have Blu-ray and non-Blu-ray, and with at least two more working HDMI ports, I can connect both. If Best Buy was still in the mall, I would have brought that TV to them for recycling - or whatever they do with broken electronics.

The next time you think you have broken electronics, don't be too quick to get rid of them. They might be useful for something, even the parts inside.

A bushwhack, a scramble, and so much mud that my hiking boots spent the night on the deck. The place --a rare desert spring-- is obscure in an equally obscure area. Where, exactly, is unimportant.

Forgive, however, the similarity between three of these four images; it's something I'd typically consider poor editing --in the sense of what image(s) to include -vs- what image(s) not to include-- to describe a place. But the challenges involved, both in the bushwhack and in the shooting/processing challenges required --multi-image focus stacks and stitched 'panos'-- that similarity may hopefully be justified.
