Dawn at San Onofre State Park in San Clemente, California is a magical place. The golden hours we all know as dawn and sunset. It's rare that I get up early enough for the dawn patrol but when I can't sleep sometimes I treat myself to a photo session then. There was a couple walking their dogs on the beach that had a beautiful back light from the rising sun. I shot many photos of them, and when they moved to their car, I approached them and told them of the photos I just took of them and asked if they wanted them. The guy said yes immediately and I got his email address and later that day sent him 16 photos of him and his wife walking the dogs. These all look best in download mode.

Here is a photo I took of my daughter Rock climbing in Yosemite. I taught her and her sister how to climb and they are superior climbers to me now.
It looks best in download mode.

All I can say is excellent in all ways

Dean, you find the best locations, I would never deny that. And your compositions are always excellent. Have you started using new PP software? The downed logs in 1&2 look (on my screen) like they have been painted with Behr Redwood stain. And the beautiful Lake Burton image shows pronounced halos around the "too red" wharf pilings. Wazzup?

It looks like you and I are in the minority; however, I am in total agreement with you. I like his composition plus the sites are excellent. A little more editing with emphasis on brightness will really help.

So, since this virus thing has restricted us all from being as mobile as we used to be, I went through some archive photos that I thought my UHH might appreciate. These are from Universal Studios Hollywood 2018.
The park has the "best ever" show about "Waterworld".......the sets, the costumes, the action and stunts were all over the top excellent. The park has so much for a photographer to shoot, it's crazy! Photo opportunities everywhere you turn around. To bad the virus thing has shut it all down for a while.

Amazing clouds very well captured. I do miss your flower garden in the foreground. A suggestion would be to trim off the few flowers so they don't distract or shoot two images and stitch them together; thus including the wonderful garden. "This is a personal observation only!

Thanks, east a bit between Roundup and Melstone, south of the Musselshell.

Thanks for the reply. The setting looked so familiar. You have created an oasis in the native landscape!

Strange day - beautiful sun then three or four cloudbursts in the course of the day. Now, moving into late afternoon some interesting cloud masses. DF and AF S Nikkor 18-35 - 3.5 4.5 G
The DF does this kind of thing exceptionally well, IMO.

Very nice set of images very well composed. Flower garden shows creativity. I am curious the location of the images as the sandstone rock formations look familiar. I was raised in Roundup and wondered if it was near there.
