A lot of the above pics were shot with a 200mm lens, all spot exposure and hand held.

80 you are still young, knock off the BS about not much time, lol. I'm 83 and purchased a Canon 100/400 mk2 and I'am looking forward to the mk3 in about ten years

Today, we had very bad weather with strong winds and super cold. Through the glass door in our kitchen I took these photos of woodpecker which was sitting on a tree in the backyard. Strong wind had made the feathers of the woodpecker puffed up.

Great capture!

The temperature was about 23 or 24 degrees the day I took a photo of this Eagle who had dived for a fish a half-hour before and sat there until this frosty water droplet formed on the tip of it's beak.

560mm was used. About 125-150 feet in distance on a sunny day.

Super capture!

My struggle with white birds continues. I believe I am improving on exposure but it an ongoing process. Here are the white birds from the last river excursion in the boat.

Try Spot Metering Mode. You will get more detail and control of the feathers' definition.

How necessary is it to get the USB dock for a sigma lens. I'm close to getting the 150-600 contemporary and am trying to slim down the cost.
Dennis C.

B&H, The USB Dock comes free with the lens.

I can see four deer.

See if you can find all 3 deer in this image. Hint - look for one ear, two eyes, and a tail, each on a different animal. Download may help.
