1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe

I was driving along on an absolutely beautiful day when I saw a guy pulling this out of his garage. I had to stop, turned around and pulled into his drive. I asked him if I could take a few photos and he graciously agreed. It just happened to be a stunning location to boot.

One of my best shoots ever.

I've enjoyed many of your Auto Shots and agree this is one of the best. I do like how well your others turn out despite the public and especially the bright light challenges. But this one has a great setting to complement the car. Well done and I look forward to many more of your gems..

We have at least two of her collaboration albums and they are great. I think it brought out her best when she did these.

Check the OWC site. They seem to have a lot and maybe that’s the outlet Apple uses for refurbished products.

Had the same thing happen with a replacement (aftermarket) battery for an iPhone 3 that I was using as an iPod. Was good for a year or two and one day I see the iPhone opened up because the battery was very swollen. It was just sitting for a day or two.

[quote=richardsaccount]Very nice set. As I recall, the Batmobile was a Ford Motor Co. concept car (a Lincoln?).
It came from a design house in Turin Italy. George Barris the late great car customizer
redesigned it as the Batmobile.

You are correct. A Lincoln Futura. If you want to see it action and in red (before it became the Batmobile), watch the movie “It Started With A Kiss”. Staring Glen Ford and Debbie Reynolds. Fun story, but more about the car for me. LOL

I have the same machine, without the RAM upgrades. I am running Catalina 10.15.7 and it works perfectly. But I do re-start it every day because some programs will not run well if I let it sleep overnight. I do plan on getting a new one, if they put the M1 chip in the 27" version soon. My Capture One 22 pro runs well, but I do not edit video.

Sadly the all in one 27” was dropped. I waited to long (this year) to find it unavailable. Settled for the 24” with as much memory as I could get. They offer a 27” display and pair it with a Mac laptop, Mac mini or Mac Pro. Did see them at Costco or other online sites, but little or no pre configuration. You get what they’ve got.

Without seeing the front (for year), my eye says 1947 or 48 Chevrolet Stylemaster.

Recently watched a two part Ken Burns documentary on Benjamin Franklin. There was mention of money left and currently used, but I didn’t fully catch the details. It’s well worth watching and very interesting.

I have a Nikon COOLPIX L610 camera for $25.00 (to cover shipping, packaging and Post Office trip). Bought it new on sale 12/12/2012 for $194.48 (including tax and memory card. About April 2017 I noticed a glare and thought it was from a light source. Much to my dismay, it was a scratch in the lens. I think caused by the Shutter Door and something under it when it was opened and closed. This still works fine and would be great for a young beginner to practice (without worrying about the investment) with and grow into the hobby. You can see from the sample photos, it's not terrible for that. Might also be good for someone with a good lens laying around looking for a donor camera. Comes with an 8GB memory card and just needs 2 AA (preferably rechargeable) batteries. This was a great camera for me to learn on and then move up to a Nikon D3400. Battery compartment is clean and this has been laying around since 12/2017 waiting for a new home. Tried to show the glare and the lens scratch.

Good catch! Too bad somebody couldn't restore it. Usually those old cop cars are black and white. This one's pretty stylish in cordovan brown. I think Mister H might be right on the year though.

Unless someone added the Chrome T-Bar to the Grille because the liked it, that would be a 1948 because of that. To bad they’re letting it rot away.
