I see no need for critique, these are great! I like the fact that you are down at his level instead of towering over him. For an action shot I would try to encourage him to toss a bunch of leaves into the air or have someone drop some from just off camera. But again, very well done!

We tried this, it spooked him and caused him to cry, lol. Made for a good laugh.

Just a few taken following a photoshoot with his pa pa. This was a nice opportunity for my son to spend quality time with his grandfather. It was also nice, not to have to wait in line at bass pro shop to see a santa behind a glass wall with a mask on.

Yes, that's better, cropped a bit too tight for my taste but you have the idea now! Keep shooting!

Thank you! This will help when I take pictures this weekend. Thank you all for the great guidance and advice!

This one was shot in a portrait. Not as big of a fan of his facial expression but at least this one shows a tooth!

This is an example of "portrait" style. it is framed vertically.

The second one without the car seat is much better, just concentrate on that sweet face. As others have said, a portrait view would be better, you would have had more "base" to the face and not what I call a "floating head" image. In a setting like that you would not have any control of the reflections in his eyes but this would be a great shot for GrandMothers brag book.

Im not sure i understand what yall mean by potrait view. Im still pretty much an amateur. Could you provide an example and what makes it a portrait view?

Removed the button. I like both. I admit the button missing does help keep focus on the main subject.

I can't agree with keeping the button. It is a very nice photo, but your eye goes to the brightest spot. Don't think that you want to look at the button, so take it out.

Ill try to re-edit the button out and see how it looks. I will repost the edit when im done. I do appreciate the feedback.
