Why upgrade? My version of Quicken is 2015 and does everything I need. They have continued to patch security issues.

When I taught chemistry (many, many years ago) I had two young women come to my office and say "We will do anything to get at least a B in chemistry". I told them to study for each quiz I gave the class and come tome with any questions or troubles they had in chemistry. Both women received an A for both semesters. No there was no hankky-panky involved since the final exams were departmental and graded by others.

I have a D850 and use snapbridge. It took me quite a while to get everything coordinated, but when I did, it worked well.

A comment about isopropanol: The thirty percent water is near the azeotropic point for the mixture and will evaporate at the same rate as the IPA.

I updated my D850 yesterday and SnapBridge now works.

My best picture, ever, I took with a Brownie 620 box camera, in black and white, when I was 12. The subject was my stepfather relaxing on the couch, petting the family dog. That picture was the only one my mother ever had blown up. No, I don't have a copy of that picture.
The camera helps me take good pictures, but it is the photographer who chooses to take the picture and makes it worth remembering.

Simply, No.
A USB to wiFi adapter might work, but the data transfer rate would be slow.

I have used a V600 perfection scanner for ten years and it does everything I need. Including: 35 mm slides, old family photos for the in-laws and spectra for my professional career. Also, I have seen it for under $200. There is a newer model with, apparently the same specs at a much higher price.

I had a D3200 Nikon and replaced it with a D850 and used the various computer to camera software. When wireless is turned on (required an adapter on the d3200) I could see my camera in the menu. Bluetooth also works in the D850. WiFi gives better transfer rates then bluetooth, but both work. Incidently, bluetooth only works within about 6 ft, depending on the computer and device.
Hope this helps.

There are many variations of the emulsion used on glass plates, each of which had a different sensitivity. Also, since the photographer, or his/her assistant, poured the emulsion onto the glass to dry, film thickness played an important role. As did storage conditions, grain size, etc.

I have used, developed and enlarged my own film for 50 years before film became hard to get. (Note that film and processing chemicals are readily available now.) There is no question that, with an exceptional lens, you can obtain better resolution with film compared to digital. Film is exposed on a molecular basis (color film) or very fine grain (pan X) and has no regular pattern to worry about. Those of you who are a little older can remember when lens reviews indicate diffraction limited f-stops (often around f-8). With digital your resolution is limited by the number of pixels/inch. I have not seen a review where they mention diffraction limited resolution.
However, the resolution you need depends on the size of the final image, so my D850 suffices on my printer with 13X19" prints, even after cropping. If you were going to print a mural for a wall for a single image (say 20X30') that might be viewed up close, choose film (and probably a view camera).

The physics will not change until digital sensors have close packed pixels in the nanometer range.

I updated my D850 about 2 days ago, it was simple and everything worked.

Follow the instructions to the letter. The one problem I had was I loaded the update onto an SD card and had that set as the secondary card. Whichever card you want to use to update must be set as the primary card.

Yes, I have information about suppliers of ink, but it was company confidential. We had samples of each ink jet manufacturer's oem supplier- clearly identified so it could be shipped. Secrecy agreements prevent the disclosure of such information. Plus, this was before I retired, about 10 years ago and may not be relevant today. I will say that printer manufacturers are loath to change suppliers unless a force ma-jeure requires it. In industry, just because you are better and cheaper does not mean you will sell.

Hello,
As I have said, I am a chemist, actually a physical organic chemist, and I was part of a team that was developing ink jet inks several years ago. These inks were developed for HP printers and the development chemists developed (and patented) an ink that was better than those on the market. That is- better fade resistance, better water resistance and would not clog a jet, even after years of settling. We couldn't sell the ink, even at a lower price.-- Go figure.
