I like the last one; better look at her pretty face. whole set is very fine.
Way to go, Frank! Keep on lifting!
My favorite shorter piece by Rach is the Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. There is a Youtube video with Stephne Hough giving a little seminar on the piece and then the complete performance at The Proms. It's about 18 minutes and the theme will be familiar. Stephen Hough is probably the best of the younger pianists.
It was L. Bernstein who brought Mahler into the popular realm (popular among classical music listeners. This was in the 1960s. And of course this was 20 years after WWII, so enough time to bring German music in general into the airwaves and concert halls.
Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.
Youtube has a video of Bernstein conducting the Mahler II in an English cathedral (not in London). It will make a believer out of the most devout atheist!
My favorite symphony is Mahler's II, the Resurrection.
The Rach II is played start to finish as the score for the 1940s film "Brief Encounter". Trevor Howard and Celia Johnson, directed by David Lean. One of the 100 greatest films ever made. Oh, yes, screenplay by Noel Coward adapted from his stage play.
An oldie that I hadn't seen in years. It is so true! and yes, I laughed out loud.
This is what street photography is all about: ambiguity! Well done.
Snow leopards are scarce and elusive. All the photos in the wild that I have seen are in snow. That's not to take anything away from this beautiful photograph; it's stunning.
Doesn't get any better than this one!
East Africa is about way more than the amazing animals. You will be surrounded by other photographers, all pushing for position, none seeing what you can see with two eyes, not the camera. You can buy images, but you can't buy the experience if you're not really "there".
Why the title "Different points of view"? They have different dress styles, due perhaps to the age diff, but they may agree on everything else.
