For travel, I use a pair of 4 TB SanDisk SSD drives. One as a primary and one for backup. I have never had a problem with data loss using the SanDisk SSDs.
Those are great and not very expensive $240 a piece at Costco
I think customer feedback is important for any company and the purpose here is to have a discussion, make people aware of the issue, then those who wish for improvements can make suggestions to Nikon.
Nope - send your ideas to Nikon if you have any of those ideas - here you are just tilting at windmills.
Who says it has to be either or? I can and do have both. I don't buy cameras because of their tilt screen design but it’s easy to see when one product has a superior design.
Do you think that any product is so perfect it cannot be improved?
I think all products can probably be improved. Send your suggestions to the Nikon product development team if your intent is to help them develop better products. If you are just bellyaching - keep wailing here - it will have zero effect whatsoever - just polluting the web
I have the Nikkor 24-85 and can't seem to get it calibrated to my D7200 to give sharp pictures. Thinking of replacing it with the Nikkor 16-85 f/3.5-5.6. Any thoughts? I have read that the 16-85 is a very sharp lens.
The 16-80 f/2.8-4 is a good deal better. Sure it is expensive but you can find a fair amount of used ones floating around as it was used as a kit lens on the D500 OA
I think the choice quickly boils down to personal preference. I prefer a matte screen because reflections drive me crazier but most prefer a screen that appears sharper.
I have a couple Dell UP3216Q - 32" 4K, which were about $1500 a piece - really good and run full RGB Gamut and can be fully calibrated. Not sure if they can still be found as they are now discontinued. The newer more pedestrian units you are looking at may be OK but are more geared towards the hobby user - But the price is right.
