FYI - I came across this - it’s specifically about posing your subject for a senior class photo.

Lol I know right.. I will not get scared to not do this as my daughter wants me to.
I just ask for a lil help. But I've gotten talked down to for wanting to do this as I've mentioned I don't want too be a pro. The irony

That’s the spirit! Remember even the pros had to start somewhere! I see you’re from PA - me too. We tend to have that “grit your teeth and do it” mentality. Look where it got the Eagles! 🏉

You really should use the quote reply so that your reply is directed at the person it is meant for otherwise they look like random statements. Don’t let the so called experts here get in your way. If she already has a pic for the year book then you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Go for it! Have fun!

My relationship with my daughter will not suffer by doing this . It's her choice. We don't have the money that it cost to get them done professional. She lives how I do my own photos. I'm not looking to be a pro at all and family and friends wouldn't even look at shadowing and specifics in a photo as a pro would. Specially if they know nothing about that stuff. Lol my daughter wants me to do it to save us money and the school already had a photo of her for the year book. I never had senior pictures done of me for my senior year. She just don't care what picture they stick in for her as high school wasn't a good experience for either of my girls.

Yes I am new to this type of camera lol. I've always wanted one like this so I can do nice photos as I don't have many or much. I always had a cheaper digital but this is the most we've ever paid for anything besides a car lol. I have a coolpix b500 it has so many things to do with it. But don't have some settings I see others talk about to do. I'm here to learn more as I've been watching YouTube videos as well on lighting and all. Learning things lol. I got to work with what I have. Ty very much for advice this is great with everyone giving there advices on what they know. I'm excited to do this.

Thank you .I appreciate ur feed back. I will take what u said to heart. I can only work with what I got as we r a low income family. This is why I wanted to do this .we priced professional photo shoots and omg the price even with them just giving all images on a CD. I have Corel paintshop pro x that I work with to fix pictures in the past. I don't want to become a pro . Just wanted good pictures. These schools here apperantly don't care what senior pics look like to post in the year book. As I never had any but they posted my school picture as a senior pictures lol. I want intitled to get senior pictures growing up as we didn't have much. My husband will be working with us as an extra person. I so appreciate ur advice and I will sure do my best

I don't want to be a pro . I jus want great pictures for my daughter's senior pictures. As maybe others may see they like what I've done . I just got my camera .it's something I've always wanted and for my birthday I was caught a coolpix b500. I'm still learning the settings and all. I don't have extra lighting like pros do. So I have to work with what I got with natural lighting so I can work on getting more stuff later on. I don't have all the money to buy a big camera so I have to work with what I have . I just want them to come out good. The railroads in my area are no longer working and no trains r allowed to be on the tracks anymore. They shut them down. It maybe old fashioned but it's what my daughter wanted to try. She's got an old spirit. And I've seen great shots like that. As of the blur I still want to see some of the background in the distance but blur a lil.

Ty the picture I posted was just a quick shot I wanted to get before he moved. I didn't have time to change settings. Some reason the camera shakes is very sensitive. I am getting a tripod with remote so I won't have to touch the camera when I do my daughter's photos. I don't want to be a pro I just want good pictures that looks good . I will only be able to use at least 2 photos on her invites as we will have others to choose from at her party that people will get to pick from. U can do so much with this camera and I haven't had it that long so I'm still learning about it. I have taken great shots of the moon with being shaky and that was surprising how they came out. I was freezing lol standing trying too get a good picture. I appreciate ur advice and I will take everything others have told me to heart. As I want this to be an enjoyable time with my daughter. I just don't want to get frustrated not being able to capture what I've been focused on for awhile now. I can see the shot I want in my mind but never comes out good.
