Sorry to hear about your corrupted disc. I know how you feel. I had a new MRI on 7/20/23, then had an appt to see my Spine Surgeon on the 27th. I have 5 discs that are real bad, 2 are bulging and I have pinched sciatic nerves on both legs starting at the buttocks and down the back of both legs, the worst being on the left. He has me scheduled for surgery on Sept 6 to have some bone removed at L3-L4 and L4-L5 in order to do "spinal decompression" in order to give those nerves more room in the spinal canal and hopefully to relieve this pain that I have been living with for the last 2 1/2 years. I have been getting about 3 hours sleep every night, and I can't stand this anymore, even though he has me pretty worried after showing me the MRI pictures and the things that could happen during surgery, and informing me what I won't be able to do for 3 to 6 months while I have recovery. Can't run the vacuum, should not bend over, don't empty the dishwasher or take clothes out of the washing machine, and don't drive until the Surgeon says so, and a bunch of other regular things. I'm going to have trouble teaching my Persian Cat how to do these things, because all she likes to do is sit on my lap and watch tv or nap. Hope you have better luck Mike.

I was in a street market and wanted to try capture the colourful canvas roofs of some of the stalls. I didn't have a camera with me so whipped out my iPhone 10. I only took two shots and when I got home I downloaded them on to my PC. I was startled to see the second photo. How could this have happened??

It's nothing to do with my PC. The photo is as you see it on my iPhone.

Had similar problem accidentally set phone for pano and moved quickly, took shot and moved phone from Subject without knowing.

Please pardon the old country saying. but it does apply in this instance. I am the blind hog. I am 80-years-old; hard of hearing and definitely NOT tech savvy. But I stumbled onto the best de-noise software I have ever tried. It is called SilkyPix and comes from Japan. The good news is it works WONDERFLLY at removing noise! The bad news is only Japanese narrators do reviews on it and they speak so fast and with such a Japanese accent that I cannot understand a word they are saying. Their videos click on sliders so fast I cannot keep up with them even with the sound turned off.
Is there anyone who either speaks Japanese or is so tech savvy that they can play with the program themselves to determine the exact steps one has to go through to: (1) loading an image into the soft ware (2) play with the sliders to denoise the image as wonderfully as the one I attached? (I must have played with it for an hour and when I got done, I had no idea how I got there.) If someone were to do a video reviewing SilkyPix software in English, I'm sure it would get a zillion hits. I want to buy and use the software, but it is no good to me if there are no English narrators reviewing the software that I can follow and understand to learn how to use the software to de-noise. Thank you for your time and consideration.

TreasureHuntersDigital does a number of Silkypix tutorials in English, which helped me out.

If so, anyone having trouble running it on windows 10? I'm having trouble with it running slow, locking up, not responding, and generally just being a pain in the rear. Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

No problems at all, keep both windows 10 and affinity updated to latest and all works well.

I have looked at quite a few of the tutorials, and remember seeing where they were able to achieve the following:
SELECT MULTIPLE IMAGES IN VIEWER, AND ZOOM IN ON ALL OR MULTIPLE SIMULTANEOUSLY. I know how to do it for individual images, but I cannot relocate where I saw this done?
Maybe you have some advice,
Thanks in advance,

If you YouTube pal2tech he has done 5 very relatable clips on using Capture One including what you are asking about. Down to earth and very watchable.

As an X-Series user since 2013 I can tell you that one of the many features that creates "enjoyment use" of these cameras is the fact that most of the good-to-excellent XF lenses have an aperture ring - so why not use it? You're coming from a Canon where the facility is not available and is controlled by a command dial.

If you're gonna use Fuji please understand that there are some "habit changes" to make - so be prepared to accept, learn, start using - and guess what, you've suddenly got a "new" habit !

There are some changes that you can make with Fuji command dials - menu / set up / button and dial setting / command dial setting - best way to learn what they do is press the buttons, try them, see what works for you.

As a new Fuiji user you may well want to take a very close look at this YouTube channel - a fellow north American of yours, and, in my experience, one of the best "help tools" for Fuji that can be found anywhere.......

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBT6ZUFLWSkghYRzPQkWbhA/videos

Lots to learn, but be patient, take your time, learn the best new habits and you'll find out why there are so many "happy Fuji users" around the world.
As an X-Series user since 2013 I can tell you that... (show quote)

Absolutely Chris from pal2tech is straightforward, easy to understand and a mine of information.

Wanting to see what the difference was when PP with Capture One 20 versus Luminar. First original photo was processed with C1 and again with Luminar. In the C1 version I had to use several layers to get the desired results (and not happy with the forest results in C1 (probably my technical ability)). In the Luminar version I used AI for sky and landscape (which was easier) with some dodge and burn on the water (no layers). Personally, I think that I got better results with Luminar. Last original photo was done with C1 first, and again with Luminar (cropped and used dodge and burn only in both edits) and is included as a different perspective. Comments pro and/or con will be appreciated, and used in future endeavors.

Morning, to my eye the C1 on both seems slightly more refined. Don’t quite understand the squirrel/background comment.
