B&H out of New York is the best! A lot of expertise in the sales people and Best Buy’s! They have extensive on line presence!
Very beautiful photos, tax sharp and good composition! Very good color too! Thanks for sharing! Jaki
Just get a veranda room and can have space and privacy while shooting! Hiking in Alaska I prefer 1 camera and 1 lens. I like The Nikon 28-300! Lighter to carry and a good range! Carry covers for rain! Good luck!
So beautiful! But so sad! This Bay Area use to be filled with Hugh glacier ice in the summer! None left to be there!
Those were beautiful!! Thanks for sharing!!
I’ve had a Nikon D3S and just now bought an 850 and love it! I have a full array of Nikon lens, I was about to go with the Z! No regrets! No mirror issues! It is a fantastic camera! I shoot landscape, nature and wild life, some travel!
You will enjoy whatever you choose!
Good luck!
Jaki
I also try to go in pre board to get my gear settled and they don’t question me, but I am older too.
When I tell them it’s cameras and gear, if I can’t fit it in overhead, I can sometimes fit it underneath with my feet in part of it. If it’s a small commuter jet I ask them and they will put it in their closet up front. I’ve never had to check the bag.
If you don’t want any of them, just reformat the card!
Hi, I’m there now! Weather cool but sunny today! Depends if you are on your own shooting or with a tour? You don’t have time on a tour for anything but handheld. On your own lots of us using tripods and monopods. All the wild life you want to see is just off the road between Jackson and Jackson lodge in the area called Jackson Hole! A boat ride from colder bay gives you a great view of Tetons! So does the lodge area in front of it. Get a pass if you are a senior for the park, gets pricey by the day. Animals seem in 1 day were, grizzly bear and cubs, moose just had baby within hour, elk herd, bison herd, pronghorn (antelope), Canada geese, bald eagles, that’s it. No wolves yet! I have a Nikon 850 new, and a Nikon 28-300 lens, brought too the Nikon 200-500 lens. Haven’t even used it yet! Internet is spotty, Verizon best in area. But can’t always send photos! Beautiful trip so far, Mormon road had great Old barns! Going to Yellowstone tomorrow. Hope this helps.
Hi Larry,
I’m not pushing any particular cruise line, but I would look for one that takes you up beyond the typical week up the inland passage. Get one that goes to anchorage, then you will have more stops along the way and some side trips if you choose.you will see the Harding Ice Field and ports like Seward, Homer, Anchorage. People think they have seen Alaska when they have only seen a little sliver in the Southwest. Out of anchorage you can fly to Denali or Fairbanks or lake Clark or Brooks for bear viewing! Only fly with highly experienced bush pilots who have worked in Alaska many years! Experience else where is not like flying Alaska! Lots of small plane crashes! I lived in Homer and flew bush, float planes. Enjoy your trip!
Hi, in Lightroom I use the signature from there on all my photos in bottom right corner. It’s cursive and looks sharp!
Thank you so much! Appreciate your time and advise! Jaki
My outdoor photography is landscape, nature, wildlife, travel, buildings. Jaki
