I used to shoot with the D750, and found it to be an excellent low light camera. The challenge shooting indoor sports will always be lack of light. I used to shoot hockey and found that underexposing be 1/3 of a stop would produce a file that could be processed to a nice final image. I only shoot raw, and edit in LRC. I've learned over the years that getting the best tone, while also getting the least amount of noise, requires a bit of finesse in adjusting shadows, blackpoint, and highlights, not just the exposure slider. There are a lot of youtube videos on different takes on the subject.

I bought the m1pro last year it is a great update from my 5 year old macbook pro. I would consider the better max processor and especially the 32mb ram, to speed up work flows if I were buying today. But, for me, I love the extra space of a second screen, so I opted for the 14" version, plus a 27" display.

I would switch to a mirrorless camera. There are so many choices today.
I am interested in bird photography and floral photography. Multiple exposures as well.
What do you recommend? Does not have to be pro quality

think about lenses when thinking about changes.

First, the lens is most of the weight in the equation, so if weight is your main concern, know that going mirrorless won't be that big of a difference if it's attached to a 400-600 lens.

Second, if you're thinking about changing platforms, look at the cost of lenses by that manufacturer as well as availability of third party options or used inventory.

Last thing, if you like Canon, and know the ins and outs of how they operate and set up, you may want to stay in that world, or be prepared for a learning curve on menu items etc.

Good luck.

I'm suddenly having similar issues with my 7 year old Macbook Pro. I suspect it has to do with the latest Adobe updates as it was running fine before I did the updates. Have a message into Adobe help, but this has happened in the past and I had to reinstall earlier version of PS/LRC and wait for the bugs to worked out in the newer versions.

yes, that is the way. Lot's of posts on the internet to show the technique. Just don't fall for any products people will try to sell you. a rubber band and $1 sheet (cut in half) will do quite nicely.

Excellent Portrait Image, Very nice Lighting, A Nice Pose of the young Lady,
Did you use any Diffuser on your Flash? On Camera or Off Camera Flash?
Just Curious!
I have been investigating "Portrait Photography", Specifically, Individuals, Family & Graduation, maybe Seniors Citizens.

FOR THAT SHOT, flash was on camera, no diffuser, but bounced off wall/ceiling to the right and somewhat behind me. This gives a nice soft and large light feel. The important part is to add a small black blocker so the direct light does not spill over to the subject. In my case I use small black foam sheets found at a fabric store and a rubber band. I've found this to be the best way to use the flash that is on camera as it not only softens it, but gives the light direction, thus some shape to the subject.

Thanks for the compliment.

The following are Flashpoint (Godox) flash unit and off camera controller. Selling separately, but save money by purchasing and paying for a single shipment. Flashpoint is the Adorama brand used for Godox flashes. These are like new and super well cared for. Photos below, including a shot I took with the unit mounted on my D7000 bounced off the wall. The other way to answer the question is, no - everything has been photographed, but there is still so much to be photographed from my perspective.

For Nikon users: if you were to buy a new camera body today(ignore any current price deals) which of the following would it be:

I have a D500 and both DX and FX lenses. Just want to add a full frame body. Do BIF with the D500 & 200-500. Looking for the ability of full frame to provide higher resolution and better low light/ISO capability. Really just like fooling around with these fantastic cameras and their capabilities . Body weight is irrelevant to me. Not sure I would need the 45mp capability of the Z7

If it weren't for the price of the z lenses, I would go for one of the z II bodies. Nikon is at a point where Sony was a few years back - a great system, but not a lot of glass out there so buyers are at the mercy of Nikon lens prices. I am currently straddling the Nikon D750 and Sony a7iii systems as I need the 4k video, not sure where I'll land in the coming year, but I will not keep both systems.

I would like the collective opinion of this community for an interpretation of NIB before I take the seller to task. I purchased a camera from a seller on eBay and it was advertised as NIB. I expected to get a brand new unused camera with all cables and documentation in the manufacturer's original packaging. What I received is a camera with a filter on the lens that was overly tightened, a charger, and a battery. Admittedly, the camera was in pristine condition. However, the charger clearly was previously used since it had many scuff marks on it. There was no documentation and no cables. Furthermore, none of the Nikon original packaging was included. I intend to notify the seller that he misrepresented the offering but before I do so, I want to know how the community interprets NIB. Thanks for your input.

Regardless of "Taking the seller to task", do you want to keep the product for the price you paid? If so, then I would ask for price adjustment of any missing items. If you really want "new in box" initiate a return. You'll get all your money back as the seller misrepresented the item. I just went through something similar, and although my funds were tied up during the process, it was all good in the end.

If you are a hobbyist, don't worry about it.

If you are a pro, of any degree, you need to know the rules and don't count on learning them here.
