Broken Leg

"How did it happen?" the doctor asked the middle-aged farmhand as he set the man's broken leg.

"Well, doc, 25 years ago..."

"Never mind the past. Tell me how you broke your leg this morning."

"Like I was saying... 25 years ago, when I first started working on the farm, that night, right after I'd gone to bed, the farmer's beautiful daughter came into my room. She asked me if there was anything I wanted.



I said, 'No, everything is fine.'



'Are you sure?' she asked.



'I'm sure,' I said.



'Isn't there anything I can do for you?' she wanted to know.



'I reckon not,' I replied.

"Excuse me," said the doctor. "What does this story have to do with your leg?"

"Well, this morning," the farmhand explained, "when it dawned on me what she meant, I fell off the roof!"

Not sure if this is the proper section to post this, but...
JUST GETTING STARTED and need help, information, experience on Child GPS tracking devices. Nugget, my 8 year old Down Syndrome granddaughter, is very mobile, quick, and is a runner. WE have been advised to look into a Child GPS tracking device; however, really have no idea on how or where to get started. Last week she got away from her paternal grandparents and ran into a corn field and it took over an hour and about 20 people to find her. If she to get lost at an event, park, or etc. she would not be able to tell anyone her last name, address, etc. It's a bit scary. 
My question is do any of you have any experience or knowledge with these devices? Any first hand information would be most welcome.

WE KNEW FOR A MONTH THE FETUS WAS DEAD; HOWEVER, AFTER HAVING A BLOOD TEST EVERY DAY FOR A MONTH, THE DOCTORS WERE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE DEAD FETUS AT 3:00 AM ON A SUNDAY MORNING. IT WAS AT THAT TIME WE FOUND OUT WE HAD TWINS.... WE COULD HAVE SAVE ONE OF THEM... PLUS SHE WAS WITHIN HOURS OF LOSING HER LIFE. THEN THERE WAS THE FULLY EQUIPPED NURSERY TO CONTEND WITH. DON'T AUTOMATICALLY ASSUME AN ABORTION IS BECAUSE THE MOTHER DOESN'T WANT TO GIVE BIRTH! IF YOU HAD NO PROBLEMS DELIVERING A BABY, GOOD FOR YOU; HOWEVER, NOT EVERYONE IS SO LUCKY. Some times "well meaning" individuals should just mind their own business. To this day, 55 years later, 
I still have nightmares about them pusing my the 23 year old wife into the delivery room, that Sunday morning, knowing our first child was already dead, but not knowing if I have to plan my wife's funeral as well.  

An open mind comes from learning. Learning leads to more learning and thinking. Thinking leads to more knowledge. Knowledge leads to wisdom. None of these things can come from letting someone else do your thinking.
I'm sure you'll have a response to my tyraid, I always do, but I'm not interested in your opinion until you walked this path.

Merriam-Webster added the word woke to its dictionary in 2017, defining it as, Aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice). The Oxford dictionary adopted it the same year, defining it as originally: well-informed, up-to-date. Now chiefly: alert to racial or social discrimination and injustice. Stay WOKE my friend.
