I own 45 Minolta and Sigma lenses. MC, MD, & AF. A real lenses junkie.
We compared projected images, side by side with all other brands. Couldnt tell
Minolta from any others.

As mentioned, try the Tram, north end of town. The are the Indian canyons with hundreds of palm trees and indian artifacts toward the south end. The Pines to Palms highway up to Idyllwild/Pine Cove and Mountian Center in the San Jacinto mountains.
Palm Canyon drive. Many great resturants. Many million+ dollar homes. The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens in Palm Desert.Great for animal shots, minimal cages. White Water canyon, north of town off of highway I15. Hundreds of wind generators, north of town. Time permitting there is Joshua Tree Natl. Park several miles north on state hwy 62. Plenty to shoot inand around Palm Springs.

I once did a lot of testing at the Army Proving Grounds at Yuma in the summer. Nice place but the 120 degree days were tough to take.
We spend every winter in Yuma. I guess what I am saying is to concider the heat factor.

I went from Sony A55 to A77, love it. Looked at the A77II but it had no GPS but did have several features that were of no use to me. Which ever one you choose you will love the upgrades. Yes, All of the Minoltas AF lenses work fine.

They are both great. Allow yourself plenty of time on each. Yellowstone roads form a figure eight. You can do one loop per day. I suggest that you stay in West Yellowstone. Cheaper prices and many more restaurants. As a senior you can purchase a Golden Age pass, good for life, it gets you into all national parks free as long as you live, so you can enter and leave any park without additional charges. I would drive myself around the park as there is a parking area wherever there it something to photograph and you won't feel that you have a guide on the clock. You can start and stop on you own schedule.
I prefer Teton NP to Glacier NP but no denying,Glacier is nice. On your map, you will see just south west of Glacier is the National Bison Reserve. They have Deer, Elk and a variety of wildlife. It's a drive through park around a couple of small mountains.

You forgot the benefit of body building with full frame. Lugging around bigger cameras and much bigger lenses. Full frame also helps to build a bigger and better ego and self worth.

For what it's worth. I have both a 50mm and a 100mm macro lens. I find that the 100 gives more working room, the 50 gives a better view of things.

Concider a good camera club. One with PSA connections. You will have people to help your photography. A club that has a lot of competition is a great learning place.

You answered your own question, "NIKON HAS A SALE" today it's a D7500 tomorrow it's a D7600 or what ever, they don't know you but you buy cameras so you are on their sale list. The new camera won't automaticaly make you a better photographer. What do you need? If you a dissatisfide with you present camera than by all means by the new one.

Good question, Since the insulation and nothing else in the capacitor is perfect, there is a very slow electrical leakage. In time the charge will be totally discharged. Don't worry about it. Almost everything electronic has capacitors in them and they are very reliable. In the "old days" capacitors were know to leak and even explode. Modern materials and techniques have about perfected them. There is even talk about using capacitors in automobiles instead of batteries.

I have bought several new cameras via ebay.
Sometimes they are new but not the latest model. They may be overstock or from a shop going out of business. I have not had one that was grey market nor have I found one that was a "scam". These peoples business is through ebay. Ebay will dump vendors who are scammers and will refund your money if you are cheated.

I agree. I had a Yashica 124G and loved it. A pro photographer I once knew. Worked out of Los Angeles. He had over six Yaschicas. He would load all of them and start shooting. One after another. This is in the days when Hassies were king.He was in great demand.
