I saw a lot of those when living in North Carolina. Lot of Hummers here in Utah, have yet to see the moth.
I'm 85...at about age of 14-18, I worked at an Indiana camera store in summer and after school. I had a 2 1/4 X 3 1/4 Speed Graphic with a solenoid flash and about 20 film holders all bought SH in good condition. It got me into developing my film and enlarging the photos. Still have some with me after 10 or 12 moves. I loved that camera!!!
I was in AF, about 20 years old, driving to Calif. Saw nice looking girl hitch hiking out in the "boonies". Slammed on the brakes just when I saw a big brute carrying two suitcases come from behind a billboard. My Ford never peeled out so good. About 1955
Drove the whole length back in 1955, in my used '52 Ford.
I'm living in a assisted care community with my wife. We have one hour a day to go to the courtyard with many flowers. Got this in the last 5 minutes of allotted time. Been quarantined since middle of March.
Love your photos, if I ever get released from quarantine, going add some gear and try it.
My Tokina 100 is a great lens, probably had it for 6-8 years!
More water art trials good and bad!
Here are some current photos, and a couple of older ones.
My photographic interest started in 1947. At the age of 12, my mother gave me a Kodak devaluing kit. Contact printer, tank, trays, D-76, Fixer, and Dektol, the beginning of a whole lot of fun in my life.
I entered my first competition in 1951. My cameras consisted of a 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 Speed Graphic and a Kodak Bantam 828. I had a job after school in a camera shop in Elkhart, IN.
Throughout most of my life, I have taken photos. Some good, most of them bad, but I had fun. I have belonged to 4 camera clubs, and was president of one of them.
We recently moved to a senior independent living community, in Fort Collins, CO, and had to downsize considerably. I am throwing photos and slides away by the thousands. Digitizing some and storing others, probably will never look at them again. Just looked at the computer I am using to type this and have over 40.000 on it.
I am experimenting with water splash photography now and will post some of my trials on this site. I mentor a Colorado State University student for two hours a week, fortunately she likes photography. I am having a great experience.
At 84, I am hoping to be active taking photos for a few more years.
Nice group of photos. Not related to subject, but I selling my home on Sandhill Crane Circle next month.
Lived in Sarasota for 35 years, had to fish off the Bird Key bridge, or in our boat. Nice to see they have a nice fishing pier. Good pics.
