I have Luminar AI and have used Luminar 4 before that.

AI does not have a DAM, Luminosity mask, and layers is weaker.

AI has done more with sky, atmosphere, face portrait adjustments.

I rarely used templates with Luminar 4, templates in AI are also not something I use often.

I have Slinger and JCC Pouches. Both provide good protection for my lens. Both have different sizes available.

Nice work. Only been with UHH for a few months. Recently joined the nude forum because of my experience in that arena and I was expecting to see impressive image making using the female form. I have been sadly disappointed in what has been posted so far. This image is the best nude photograph I have seen on UHH.

GIMP is powerful, but about two/three years behind PS. Like PS large learning curve. Not as user friendly as PS. If you need ease of use it is not for you.

I use GIMP only on certain photos that I want more out of, about once a month. Luminar is what I use for most of my editing because of ease of use. Note: I am an enthusiast, not professional.

Luminar does not change or alter your raw files.

I have found that the learning curve is quick and easy. It has 95% of the tolls needed for editing.

DAM for Luminar 4 is weak, and is not part of Luminar AI

Luminar 4 is far superior to Luminar 3.

Shooting RAW is equitant to shooting of film and developing in your own photo lab.

Shooting JPEG is equitant to shooting film and bring it to the drug store to be developed.

Therefore, Ansel Adams shot in RAW.

I agree, new engine will provide for better and newer features. I have seen some discussion on Luminar Insider site. I have been both a L4 and L AI user. I just wish they would not change name of tools for no reason. AI did run faster on my old computer, new computer with SSD runs fast with both.

The new sky is to intense. Reduce the blue, increase the exposure to better match the foreground.

Sky replacement is a nice tool, but like all tools it takes time and practice to use to it fullest.
