I would like to purchase a used Sony body to use with my scope for bird-spotting, etc. I have several older Minolta AF lens I would like to use with the newer body. I have been looking at the Sony a77 and a77 II which will evidently accept my older lens. However, I have read that the electronic viewfinder image on these cameras are dim due to the translucent mirror. Would this make it difficult to compose and focus using with a spotting scope? What is the best body choice for bird-spotting that will also accept my older Minolta AF lens for general photography?
