USAF, Feb 7, 1951 - Dec 24/1954, 2 yrs aircraft engine build up (R3350, C119 aircraft), 2+ years squadron HQ as chief clerk. A/1C) Discharged on Christmas Eve (There is a Santa Claus) to return to Vanderbilt U to complete work on mechanical engineer degree. Worked the last 17 years(Civil Service) at Fort Hood (Now Fort Covasas) as an engineer in Master Planning. Hi-light of my career was at Convair/General Dynamics flying as a flight test engineer, first on the B-58, mach 2, then on the F-111, mach 2+. Evan got to do a couple of "slow rolls" in the F-111 after a test flight was completed. Retired life sure is calm.

Well, speaking of 'being well", it seems that the "Category Police are "well" and on duty. I just went to the top of this section and saw this: "General Chit-Chat (non-photography talk)". Now I am confused. Oh well, back to worrying about if the post I'm reading is in the correct/proper section.
Guess it's been a slow day.

You are soooo right Dennis. Another word, although not four letters, is "sneaky". Under covers, in boots, shoes, even hanging from the ceiling just ready to drop and attack.

My neighbor, in Nashville many years ago, was stationed at Fort Hood here in Texas. He told how in the evenings when they had nothing to do they would encircle the pests with gasoline and set in on fire. The pests would run around and finding they couldn't escape would then commit "bugacide" by stinging themselves to death with their stingers.

That was way back in WWII. You probably heard of it. It was in all the papers. The war, not the stingers. sm09:
