It is a small staff operation. They have been in business for over 30 years. Thier magazine is a quality publication.
I recently spoke with Helen Longest-Saccone, editor about the next issue of Nature Photographer. I thought I might have missed it. Not the case, Helen has been under the weather having suffered a temporary situation where she had a serious eye problem. She assured me she is now fine and the next issue will be towards the end of May. I thought I would pass this information on. To my knowledge Nature Photographer is the only print nature oriented magazine remaining in the US.
In Abilene visit the Eisenhower Museum, well worth the time. Don't know if the OLD Abilene town is still there.
If you are going through Kansas on I-70, go at night!
Thank you for your comments. I should have mentioned that it was very windy which did not help with focusing.
Took this photo in my backyard. I was trying for shots of a bird surrounded by blossoms of my crab apple tree. I did get this and several like it of an old world tree sparrow feeding on the blossoms. The bird was in fairly deep shadows which I used PhotoShop to lighten. Also used Topaz to reduce noise and sharpen lightly.

I was not aware of a Photo Analysis section. Will use it when I am wanting feedback on one of my photos.
It is the new age of the Dinosaurs, don't live on my phone. Frontier wants us to change to Wahoo, Wahoo does not like my Frontier password so they won't allow the change. Don't text either, so another reason Wahoo won't allow the change. Feel like dinosaur, fading away, can't keep up with modern communications. Will soon be extinct.

She is a pretty lady! Fine photo.
Thanks to all for your input. Just so happened since I make my request at least 2 articles on focus stacking have showed up on my computer. I will switch to my R7 and see what I can do. Will follow up.
I have not tried this before, but did with my R10. Thought I had everything set right, but ended up with 1 photo in focus and 7 out of focus. I hope to find info on the net which will help but thought I would ask hoggers. Should I have the focus set on auto or manual? Stabilization on or off? Is focus bracketing the same as focus stacking? Am I too old to try new tricks?
Thanks for any suggestions.
I do admire in good in flight bird photos. Like these! wish I could take some.
Was undergoing a test to see if I would qualify for a spinal nerve blocking device, one question was what do you fear? My answer was "trump" which got laughs.
