TI own both of those cameras the 750 is a full frame camera ,and is a great camera I recently aquire the 7500 it's a crop frame sensor and focus the same as the 500 with one caveat only one slot for a memory card and less bells and whistles than the 500 if you are a amateur and just starting the 7500 should serve you well, however with the 750 you will need fx lenses and there you will have to dig into your povketbook.

QIT will depend on the age of the clientele like mezI am invested in nikon dslr both fx and dx also Sony mirrorless, being 84 years old, I will not buy into the nikon mirrorless because of the different mount if you put an adapter the wiegt difference is negated so it would an investement on new lenses I will keep on using what I have already spent my money on

What lens are you using?. I noticed that if you have the vr set to normal the camera slows down to focus so try active vr and the camera focuses much faster

I own Sony mirrorless cameras both dx and fx, and as long as you have only short primes they are lighter, however as soon as you put a big tele like 150 to 600 either Tamron ,sigma, or nikon they will be just as heavy as your 7500 , and don't forget looking at the prizes of the new nikon mirrorles they are not cheap ! To put it mildly I also own the 7t00 and a fx 750 so I speak from my experience handling these cameras and a nikon 200 to 500
