As a child I was attacked by a golden retriever. You never hear about some one being attacked by a golden retriever . Does Judge Judy keep a log on all dog attacks or just pit bulls? She seem to sensationalise everything, besides that she is a nut. If a real judge acted like that they would lose their position.

I thought that I would weigh in on the subject, if you notice my icon is a pitty. His name was Freddie and was a rescue.
I've had 2 Pitty's, both rescues and both the sweetest most people friendly dogs I've ever had.
You can't judge a dog by its breed any more than you can judge a person by their color.
Both dogs are gone taken by cancer.
Just to bypass the stigma when people asked what they were I would tell rhem they were texas chihuahuas.

In September of 88 I was TDY to the Cape. They told us to come in early due to a Shuttle launch and the causeway on the Banana River would be so packed with spectators that if we weren't early we wouldn't make it.
Even early there were lots of people sleeping in sleeping bags off the side of the road. The same road where we would count the gators on the way to work. It still makes my butt pucker.

Beautiful area and great people.
One of my friends bought a Minolta Maximum and we drove all over the northern end of the state and into Tennessee and shot about 10 rolls of film.

If you take the Promintory point rout stay on the main road hwy 83 going north and it will take you to Northrup Grumman rocket garden.
This is where the Space shuttle boosters were produced under the Thiokol name. The garden contains lots of different rocket moters including a full size shuttle booster.

In September of 1988 I was TDY in Florida installing flight instrumentation on the booster motors for the shuttle and we were able to watch the launch of the Discovery from the VAB (vehicle assembly building). I shots lots of good photos with my Minolta X700.
The shuttle kept me employed for 35 years and it is gratifying to see that the boosters are still flying.
Thanks for the memory.
