It's a scam, you've got some kind of malware on your computer. Do a search on --> The “Click Allow To Verify That You Are Not A Robot” Scam , you'll find lots of info about it.

US law didn't even like some headlights regardless of the height. During the 1960's and 70's, each year I had to swap the Lucas PL700's on my 56 AC Aceca Bristol and 57 AC Ace for US standard headlights in order to pass the yearly vehicle inspection, then swap them back after the inspection. By the 80's they didn't seem to care during the inspection so I didn't swap them anymore. I did have to change to replica PL700's eventually as it was getting tough to source the Lucas 410 bulbs that fit and the replicas use modern halogen bulbs. Plus I have to admit the new lens/bulbs are brighter while still maintaining the original PL700 tripod look. My cars aren't concourse quality (after 60+ years of use, far from it) so not worried about originality although I've kept the original PL700's somewhere in the garage to reinstall, just in case.

For those of us who shot film, did you destroy the negative after you made what you thought would be your final print? For those who shot large or medium format, did you make a copy of the original negative down to a 35mm format and destroy the original so you could save room on your large or medium negative storage space? Guess I don't understand the desire to convert to DNG when you already have the RAW. What is the real advantage here?

Thanks for all the comments, it would appear that I did not get my points across adequately.

I'm an old timer who has a lot of equipment considered obsolete by todays standards. I know most of them (except for my Leicas) are not worth much and I have no desire to dispose of them but I do like to occasionally use them. Since I found my old/original Polaroid back figured I'd try to use it if possible.

I should have waited to make the original post because I went back later thru the box where I found the back and found the user manual that identifies the film packs to use which explained why I remembered type 600. The recommended packs from the manual are 107 (b/w iso 3000) and 125 (color iso 125) but also b/w 611 (iso 200), 612 (iso 20000), 663 (iso 800), 667(iso 3000) and 665(iso 80). Then there is color 669 and 691, same iso of 80 but different development times (60 sec and 240sec). It was the 6xx number of the film I used way back then that I was remembering that made me think it was type 600. Yes, I know it will be hard to find such film, but at least I know what to be looking for.

Thanks for the suggestions to go digital, but I have already been thru quite a few digital cameras since they first came out. Current prime use cameras are a D850 and a D800 as backup, plus a Leica M240 for light walk around.
Still strong enough to carry the Nikon DLSR's and have no interest in switching to mirrorless at this stage of my life.

Regards
Paul

I still have my RB-67 Pro S from the early 80s'. Back in the day I used a polaroid back to take quick shots for setup before deciding on the final shot. Haven't done that for many years but happened across my old RB-67 P-Adapter and Polaroid back the other day and thought I would I would try a few shots just for old times sake. However quite confused about what current film pack I can use now-a-days. Is anyone shooting Polaroid with the RB-67 using the original Mamiya RB-67 Polaroid back and if so can you tell me what current film you are using? All I recall is that it was type 600, I don't want to invest in a bunch of different film packs just to find what (if anything) currently fits and works. Doesn't matter (yet) whether it is B/W or color, just trying to figure out a starting point. Not looking for a new back either, just trying to make use of what I already have. Thanks for any suggestions.

Cruise control? L. I have a 94 325ic that I love!!!

Nope, that lever was on the BMW's for some time into the 70's, it is the turn signal stalk! I've driven my older BMW's so much that to this very day, muscle memory makes my right hand flip on the windshield wipers when I go to make a turn. Takes a second to recover and switch to my left hand to the turn signal stalk on the left of the steering wheel.

Interesting history. Who is your BMW dealer?

His name was Jiri Necheliba(sp?), his dealership was AutoSport by Jiri in Vestal NY. He was a BMW and Lotus dealer. He was VERY knowledgable about sports cars, all brands, plus built and sponsored some SCCA race cars. Jiri handled service for both my 1957 AC Ace and 1956 AC Aceca Bristol (the car in my avatar) until his death. He had an interesting life as well, he escaped from Czechoslovakia by building a glider that he flew over the Iron Curtain and eventually worked his way to here in the US. He never really talked much about that experience, all he wanted to talk about were cars and racing. Jiri passed away some years ago, his dealership was sold to Gault Chevrolet in Endicott, NY after his death and it is run as a completely separate BMW dealership, no race car prep, just a commercial dealership.

If they work, here are some links to some recent info about a car he built and and is still being raced. Dave Nicholas, the driver mentioned in these is a friend from the SNYR-SCCA that I've known since the 1960's. Some of the real old timers from the 60's and 70's (as well as current youngsters) get together once in a while for beer and pizza and talking about the good old days. Spent many years at Watkins Glen for everything from SCCA races to CanAm and of course F1 Gran Prix. As an SCCA course worker got to meet a lot of the greats, Jackie Stewart, Emerson Fittipaldi, etc and spent a lot of time at Oscar Kovaleski's Autoworld shop down near Scranton,PA. Got a lot of my car gear from Oscar, the 2002's my wife and I drove in SCCA track events all rode on Bluestreak Racing Tires from Oscar's.

I still have my '72 2002 purchased new. My first BMW was a 1968 BMW 1600. In 1970 I traded up to a new 2002 and joined the BMWCCA. In 1972 I wanted to move up to the new Bavaria model although my wife wanted to keep the 2002 for herself. My BMW dealer made me an offer I couldn't refuse. He pulled out the original invoice for my '70 2002 I had bought from him and gave me that exact amount as trade in of my 2 year old 2002 towards the new Bavaria. Since my wife still wanted a 2002 he then arranged through the overseas delivery program, since I was going to Germany anyway, for a new '72 2002 for my wife. While in Germany I was able to take delivery of the car, driving it while I was there and then shipped it home. So she got the 2002 she wanted and I got the Bavaria. We still have the '72 2002, but some years later the Bavaria was traded in (same dealer again) for an '80 633 Csi, which we also still have. Our newest BMW is a 2012 535i, although in 2009 I ordered a (BMW) Mini Cooper S built to my specs, and again, we still have this one. I still flash my headlights at other BMW and Mini drivers just like in the old days with 1600/2002 drivers. But I'm afraid most just ignore me. To them it's just a car, not a way of life for my last 54 years.

Trivia questions: In the picture of the 3.0 Csi, there is what looks like a column mounted shift lever on the right side of the steering wheel. Who remembers what that lever was for? Also, when and why did the phrase "Real BMWs have round tail lights" come about. And finally, does anyone else cringe like me when they hear people call BMW cars "Beamers" rather than "Bimmers"? Beamers are BMW motorcycles while Bimmers are BMW automobiles.

My first issue weapon was the M1 Garand. Shortly after I was issued an M14. Still have and shoot my personally owned M1 and M1A, the non-auto version of the M14. Didn't have the M14 long as I was sent to OCS and eventually ended up with an M3 (grease gun) plus my 1911A1 sidearm while I had a 106mmRR platoon. I was never issued an M16A1, never even fired one while in the service.

Haven't seen it, but it sounds like a remake of the 1956 movie "The Man Who Never Was" which I went to see in a real movie theater back in the 1950's.

How about this: DeWalt 20v drill, package comes with two batteries, carry case, drill, and charger, $99. Love the drill, went to buy a spare battery, single battery $59. A pack of two batteries was $79, so only $20 more to get a new drill, two batteries, a charger and carry case? Guess who now has two drills, four batteries, 2 chargers and two cases, one set for the garage and one for the cellar workshop.
