Makes me think back to the movie "American Graffiti" with Suzanne Somers when she kept teasing Richard Dreyfus.

Go to the "HELP" section in the top banner and there are several tools noted there.

Leave the first picture alone. Life exists not as we want to see it, but as it is.
Great shot.

Quick test - go to the battery menu and it will show you the charge level, shutter actuations for that battery this use. If the battery won't communicate with the camera, I'd be cautious.

I did put one of the batteries in my 60D and it looks like the same info I get with the Canon's.
I guess I'll just try it for a week and see what I can learn.

I recently purchased a 5DMkIII which uses the same battery as my 60D, the LP-E6.
I ordered a battery charger to use in the car and it came with two batteries branded Vanon.
Has anyone used these in the past and should I jeopardize my camera with these unknown brands?
Thanks for any input.

Sounds like something General George Patton would say.

That was my first camera. I took many pictures with it when I was in the Navy.

I was in the Air Force and took a lot of pictures with one of these until I went to Clark Air Base and bought a Petri 7S.
Thought that was the zenith of cameras. Can't believe it is 52 years.

I spent the weekend on Altoona, PA at a ukulele event.

You probably within 10 miles of my place.
Next time, open your window and holler "Hi!"

I also am planning to get a book on the 5dIII so I will have another reference to use.
Hope this will help me, too.

Yep. I have manuals for all my stuff in PDF format on my smart phone and laptop. Easy to access and searchable. You can even magnify the screen, a necessity for my tired old eyes on a tiny phone screen.

As both you and cowboydid2 noted, I will probably download the manual to my phone but I like to have it on paper to read when I am trying to set up the controls and find that something might go wrong, as it usually does.
My 72 year old eyes are not as good as they used to be.

You can download the PDF for free from the Canon website. You can download all the software too, including making sure the firmware is up to date, if needed.

I looked at the PDF but it is 404 pages. I would rather pay for a copy of the full manual that carry that much paper around.
I will try to get the software and the firmware thru the net.
Thanks for the comment.

Well, I did it.
Ordered a used 5DIII (with only 103 clicks) and a 24-70 F4L lens from Cameta on Friday.
To my surprise, the FedEx man dropped it off about 10:30 on Saturday.
Initial pictures of my dog and my wife are very good.
Looking forward to using it on a better weather day than what we have today. Rain and wind.
Waiting for the manual I ordered from another venue to start to learn to set it up.
Thanks for all the suggestions and comments received.
UHH people are very helpful.

I did look at the Canon store but they only had 5DIV's.
I did misspeak in my initial submission. Cameta has "Used" 5D3's with a low shutter count.

I previously was thinking of going from my Canon 60D to a Nikon 750.
There were a lot of comments from both directions, for and against.
I have been thinking on the suggestions and have looked at the various Canon full frames and find that a refurbished
5DIII at Cameta is a reasonable option with a rating of Mint and a very low shutter count.
It is the lens that I would be buying that has me confused. What would be a good multi-purpose lens for this camera until I can start
getting some additional prime and tele lenses? 24-70? 70-200? Sigma or Tamron or Canon L?
I have a trip to the Rockies planned in June or July.

I am still here and trying to absorb the numerous suggestions and advise that have come back regarding this subject.
I have looked at the Canon 6DMII and the 5D's and have felt the D750 with its double card slot, the in-camera flash and some other options would be the better choice.
I do appreciate the advice regarding the refurbished models but the Nikon is only like $150 or $200 less with only a 90 day guarantee so I would think the new model is the way to go.
Thanks for all the replies and helpful hints from all who responded.
