No Roosevelt didn't take us off the gold standard. Or should I say gold backing the dollar. He took gold out of circulation from the citizens as a form of currency. He did this to promote the use of the dollar instead of gold in normal t***sactions. Also so that the government had more gold in reserve so they could print more money. Unfortunately Reagan is the president who removed the backing of the dollar by gold. It allows the government to print money whenever they want. It used to be when they printed money they had to have the same amount of gold in reserve.

I recently bought a Nikon ES-2 slide copier and a Nikon AF-S Micro 60 1:2.8 lens to make copies of slide and black & white film shot prior using Pentax spotmatic cameras to digital. I have many shots from 1973 on that i want to digitize and many I don't
I am finding that making a good good copy is difficult and many times my focus was off.
I am learning to make sure I don't flip the image otherwise the car becomes right-hand drive.

Those that can recognize cars will understand the unusual choice we made for a camping vehicle to haul a sears 2 person pup tent, sleeping bags, camp store and a cooler. We used the same car for a 30 day vacation in early 1975 Germany and Italy just before shipping to the states
