I especially like #2, I've always known you had great artistic ability, which is probably why I have some of your work on my walls.

The model and the headdress are both beautiful. I don't give a damn whether the model is Apache or Sioux or Jewish...she is beautiful. She complements the headdress (which looks authentic to me) and vice versa.

We need to be less concerned about offending the snowflakes and more concerned about freedom of expression. The photographer should be especially concerned about this.

Now I'll stop my rant.
It's a great photo, Harry.... to heck with the uber PC wackos put there.

I'm sorry if my post came off as a rant. I am probably one of the least PC people here. My sensitivity probably comes from my wife, who was previously married to a Mescalaro Apache, and living in Arizona for about 60 years. Over the years of casually studying Native history, I can easily see her points.

I'm really torn between the aesthetics of using a head dress as a prop, and the "appropriation" of something that has spiritual meaning for a different culture. Except for four years in the service, I have lived my entire life in the southwest. I had two models who met with my wife and me to discuss costumes. One girl was a very dark Anglo with black hair, and the other was half Apache. We settled on leather vest and loin cloth, with turquoise accessories but drew the line at anything specifically tribal or religious. I have seen some striking photos with the head dress on non-Indians, but have always had an uncomfortable feeling about it. It's not unlike the sensation I felt after returning from Southeast Asia, seeing people who obviously had not served wearing uniform parts with full insignia. This is way different than the girl with the prom dress, (or the model in a loin cloth).
It's still a great photo, though.

I like the shot. It is simply a girl at the beach wearing the appropriate swimwear. Very relaxed and natural as she should be.

Please don't get me wrong...I love the photo. There is an innocence about it that implies freedom, and (wife started a conversation and I lost my train of thought. I told you I was old). I made the comment because the photos the OP has given us have all been of the backside of the model. It would be nice to see her on the approach, as opposed to the departure.

You've shown us some lovely photos of lovely women! I am getting old, but as I recall, most women have a front side as well. Will you show us some of the front sides of these creatures?

Focus on the cell phone! The back of her head is not the subject of the picture. Her focus is on the cell phone, and focusing on the back of her head makes no sense.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who can look at a picture for hours and not see a glaring problem. Good idea! One of my biggest issues is separating her torso from the background.

I quit doing PP on other's photos when requested here (behind enough on my own) but what do you think should be changed? Other than maybe adding a touch of saturation or vibrance not sure I would change it. Could dehaze the distance sky/mountains but not sure I would want them clearer. Maybe remove the road running thru her head?

I don't think I could get away with posting this in the PG section. I have a number of images that are "almost" good pictures. I think there is potential in this one, but all of my post processing attempts don't make the potential come out.
So here it is. Let's see what you folks do with it.

In the '70s Colorado suffered the onslaught of Californians. The newcomers did everything in there power to make Colorado just like California, but with better skiing. I was born in Boulder, actually enjoyed life there because I bought my three bedroom home for $35,000. When the invasion took place, I sold it for $200,000.00, after owning it for less than five years. I enjoyed a decent income and quality of life, and now retired, I could no more return to Colorado than fly to the moon. Boulder is now neck and neck with Berkley for weirdness! I wanted to introduce my wife to my home state, as she has never been there. I haven't been back since 1985. Boulder would not allow my Airstream to be parked overnight. I still haven't been back.

It's actually a mid 80s DeVille. I used to travel a lot for my work, and I would buy a caddie with about 100,000 miles on it, and drive it another hundred thousand. I suppose I abused them, as I found I could put whole sheets of plywood in the trunk, or drive cross country for a good camping spot. Once we were camping with a group, and to get to the spot I wanted, I drove up a grassy hill pulling a trailer. Great cars, but now I drive a Toyota Tundra.

Cute friend, obviously comfortable in her own skin. Car looks like a 70s caddy.

This snapshot was taken over 20 years ago. I remember it as if it was yesterday. We were reluctantly packing up to leave after camping over a long weekend, and of course every woman knows how to pack the trunk better than any man. But, we cleaned up the campsite and started the drive back to town. We were about half way home when it dawned on us that we had no clothes on, so we had to stop and get dressed. Ah, for my youth, and the muse and memories that photos bring back. The young lady got into drugs, and I haven't seen or heard from her for a long time.

I want to thank everyone for the input. While I was doing this, she quietly went on Amazon and bought a package of 5 for $15.00.

The most spectacular part of this is that the machine was a gift from our neighbor, who has three others. One of them being almost $20,000. And no, neither of them is in business.

I am curious as to why your wife has a $12,000.00 sewing machine. Am I assuming correctly that she has a business use for it?

I also have 2-3 2gig sd cards, I bought at Walmart.
