The OP posted it in General Photography by mistake and requested it be moved to the Photo Gallery.

Too long, too heavy, too much extension at 400mm, too SLOW at 400mm, that lens is NOT a travel lens unless you are intending to have your neck massaged each night while your on vacation.

1 1/2 is pounds to heavy? Not for me and I'm 768.

Very interesting images indeed and...disregard the section police!

A visually pleasing image is a visually pleasing image regardless of where you post it. We need more members who look for and comment on the positive rather than what they perceive as the negative. Admin will correct any wrong section issues.

I intend to delete it anyway.

What is the reason you want to delete it? Do not let people run you off. You did good, in photographing and posting.

We got Hawgsters complaining that AI is not really photography. Since when did sculpture become photography ? There isnt ANY forum section to move this one over to.

Images were taken with a camera. Why is it not photography?

Is that new? It's been awhile since I've been to that part of outah, but I don't remember that place. Or I would certainly have stopped! Do they have porcupine jerky??

You must have been lost.

It's kind of sad. I enjoyed mixing chemicals and watching pictures appear in the tray. However, every step forward means we leave something behind, I wouldn't want it any other way. Without moving forward most of us would stagnate. IMHO

You also did burn and or dodge when printing (equivalent of today's ai). And if the film was shot at wrong asa, them more changes to compensate.

Ai is here. For me, I embrace it. It's a lot easier than the old ways, and just as much fun to see the final image.

I just learned from one of our local birder's blog that the yellow-headed blackbirds are back at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge. The attached set from one of my trips out there last year shows the distinctive colors. This species is larger than the more common red winged blackbird. Their call sounds like a rusty gate opening.

If the weather is good, I am going out next week to see for myself.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.
