These were taken in the Grand Teton National Park and they are basically the same mountains viewed from different locations and with a different lens. The last image is a bonus image of the Undine Falls in Yellowstone. Clouds were obscuring the mountain peaks all of the time I was there and many find this undesirable, but I find it interesting. I was only there for a Friday afternoon but I saw several aircraft land in a short period of time. It might have been interesting to sit in one spot and wait for the airplanes, but every time I saw an airplane, I thought surely it would be the last. The airplane in the photo was shot in a different location. Thanks for viewing - I hope you enjoy.

Here are three photographs of a small boy patiently waiting while his mother finished selling her clothing goods in the major square in Lhasa, Tibet. I included the tricycle in one image to capture his waiting space. The other two are closeup images.

They're all great, but no. 3 is my favorite. Well done!πŸ‘πŸ‘

The Broad-billed Hummingbird is a beauty in a beautiful family. The male’s vivid red bill, emerald body, and glittering sapphire throat sets it apart from other U.S. hummingbirds. Most of this species’ range lies in Mexico, but it reaches the mountainous canyons of the southwestern U.S. during the breeding season.

The Broad-Billed Hummingbird looks quite different, depending on the lighting.

Hope you enjoy these

The good news is that the Canon EOS R3 nailed the "animal eye autofocus" and kept it, so the bird is basically in focus. The bad news is that it was a heavy overcast day with minimal light and a fixed aperture Ζ’11 lens. Manual mode with auto ISO, camera set the ISO to 12,800. Fun photo, but a lot of noise. Not enough light for critical details. Svenson Island, Clatsop County, Oregon, February 2, 2022.

What an amazing shot! Well done!

I went up the Big Cottonwood Canyon last week to check on the status of wildflowers (it will be a while). At the top of the canyon is Brighton Ski Resort and a US Forest Service area - Silver Lake. Silver Lake sits at 8760 feet and is fed by melting snow. There is a one-mile path around the lake with a sedge meadow around the lake.

This set is shots of the lake starting about 6:30 AM as I walked around it.

Downloads are best.

They're all great; no.7 is my favorite.
