Just one photo of a series of shots that I took when we burned the pastures on the Farm the other night. We burn to help control the insect populations and to rejuvenate the soils to grow lusher grasses in the Spring. The Cows like that! More green grass and less flies and Insects to bother them while they eat.

Spring is here and I'm very excited about the upcoming thunder storms so that I can get more photos like this one. This is a long exposure of a storm that came by my house a couple of years ago. I didn't have my tripod with me so I sat my camera on the seat of the Buggy. The wind was blowing pretty hard so I got a little camera shake. Not too bad though for the length of exposure.

Two miles out in to the pasture I found this most unusual shaped tree. It looks to me like a creature from a Sci-Fi movie. Perhaps it was in a war and mortally wounded and cursed to be rooted into the ground here on Earth, never to return to it's original Home, where ever that is. Sounds like a good Movie script to me!

Audie, where did you find some purple thistle? We have it here but it is a pale sad comparison to yours. Like the grasshopper too. You probably already know this but those are complimentary colors on the wheel. You did great. If you know where I can get some seed from that thistle let me know. Thanks

It grows wild here in Kansas. I will do some checking and find out when seed s are ripe for picking. (If you really want some).

I really like this one. It is sometimes so hard to get the beauty of grass but the lighting brings out its delicate nature. Thanks

Thanks Corolyn for viewing and the words of encouragement.

Audie, looks like a great shot...select the (store original) button so we can see your pic better...you don't need to upload the full sized pic, anything bigger than our monitors will be auto resized anyway. I usually do mine to 1000 pixels on the high side and about 500-800kb.
Ron.

There you go SX2002, it took me a little time to figure out how to do it, but, I finally got it. Thanks for viewing.
