Hi friends, over the past year I've picked back up my interest in photography after retirement. I have a great little Nikon d3300 with several nice lenses and I'm slowly improving bit-by-bit. I was an avid slr photographer in the 70's and 80's but a busy life caused me to put that away. I still have all my old Minolta lenses and got a little Sony a230 with an adapter so I could maybe still make use of the old equipment. Of course all settings are manual, but that's fine as it takes me (way!) back to the way I used to do things. My disappointment is the lack of sharp focus. I particularly notice this with the macro work. I understand that the adapter changes everything as the lens is no longer flush with the camera.....but is there any way to compensate? If this is really a lost cause....I still have the cute little Sony. What is the ONE lens I would be good to order for this as a quick grab and go camera? Thanks a million for any/all advice!! I have lots of old family photos in slides in Airequipt carousels. I don't have the projector for them. (I also have even more slides in Airequipt rectangular magazines and I do have that projector, though it's not working at the moment, but that's another story). I have searched and searched on line for a projector that will easily display the ones in the circular magazines, but can't find one. It doesn't look as though these magazines will work with Kodak projectors. There are plenty of those out there. If anyone has a projector they'd like to get rid of, I'd be interested. If anyone has suggestions about how to view these slides without having to pull all 500+ of them out of the magazines, I'd love to hear those! Thanks in advance.

This is an audio equipment question. Several years ago I purchased a pair of Acoustic Research (the brand is most likely defunct by now) wireless outdoor speakers. AR produced several models over the years; each transmitter has a model # matching the speaker model # as well as varying in transmitter shape. What the transmitters have in common are they transmit @ 900mz and for audio output plug into the headphone output located on the front of most receivers/amplifiers. What I want is another transmitter, for convenience use on another floor. Been following auction listings on eBay for a while. Several models are listed, but not mine. The question is : given the above specs, is it likely that the transmitters would work on more than one model, i.e. interchangeable? Some of the model #s listed on eBay are close to mine.
