Maybe worth a smile, but that's all. The second one is worth a laugh, though.

Because of the Oquirrh Mountains to our west blocking the sunset, our front garden never gets direct golden hour sunset light. Also, some parts of the garden get direct light and others remain in the shade. In this set, I tried to capture multiple flowers, some in the sunlight and some in the shade.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Interesting effects with the light

Yesterday my dog and I walked around the small end of our local lake. I took my quick reach rig (Sony a9 with Sony 100-400mm lens using a 1.4tc). This is practice for our trip to Hilton Head Island at the end of the week. When I bike ride around the island, this is the easiest rig to carry and get bird shots.

There was only one migratory bird around (the YHBB), but the conditions were good.

So cool, like the curling garlic I posted last week. We sure need more vegetables that can walk or dance

While I was at Farmington Bay WMA, a group of American White pelicans in the back area below the GBH condos caught my eye and I took their photo. I then saw one of them lift off and fly directly at me. I hit the "hot" setting on my A9 and the Sony 100-400mm lens with 1.4 tc did the rest. Out of the almost 40 photos, I indulged myself with posting the various angles and wing positions, unlike the usual "butt bird" shots I produce.
