Dslr cameras take photos. Mirrorless cameras take photos. Phone cameras take photos. Point and shoot cameras take photos.
I think it would be a huge disservice to users of any/all types of cameras to segregate them into separate sections.
I enjoy knowing what brand and type of device was used. If the brand and type are different from what I use, I enjoy knowing that and that information does not have any effect on the type and brand that I own and use.
All the the posts here, no matter what type of brand was used is valid information.
Please do not create this asked for division.
I do not feel diminished as an amateur photographer by other brands and types of cameras, nor does it make me feel that my cameras are not good enough.

I certainly hope that administration DOES NOT DO THAT, PLEASE!
No matter what group that I participate in, the I call them the "My dog is better than your dog" people, are there. They will always be, and that you can be sure of. Sometimes I learn something from them, sometimes not. I have no problem with someone favoring their brand, type, etc. over what I have and use. It does not take away or diminish what I use and do in any way shape or form. To me closing off that stream of information and or bias is short sighted. I am an adult and I can handle other people favoring and promoting that which works for them. My camera does not start taking crappy pictures simply because you prefer a different system than I use.
Again I ask that this group is not further segregated.

I would add 20 increase in development time to compensate for film age.

"add 20 increase" What does that mean? What is an "increase"? What is being increased?

On the A-6000, it is on the GEAR menu on page 3.

I said that wrong I think.

It is on page three of the menu section that has a gear as the symbol. It is called "release w/o Lens"

No it doesn’t communicate fully and won’t take a photo wherever I put the dial

The A6000 has a 1440k dot Electronic viewfinder. The A6300 got an upgrade to a 2359k dot Electronic viewfinder which was carried over to the A6500.
Also, the A6300 included the ability to adjust the viewfinder frame rate for smoother motion. As well as the standard rate of 60 frames per second, the viewfinder refresh can be boosted to 120 fps.
The difference in EVF quality between the A6000 and the A6300/A6500 is quite noticeable.

I stand corrected, B&H shows all three to have the same exact specs on the EVF. I just looked it up at Sony, you are correct.

The newest EVFs on Sony full frame cameras offer -4 to +3 diopter adjustment capability.

That's pretty impressive.

The A-6000,6300,6500 aps-c offer the same diopter adjustment capability.

Hi Everyone ,
ive been using a Canon G11 as my walk around camera and very good it is .
It has its limitations though ( as any camera has )..

Why dont they just put in an optical one .. surely it's what everyone wants ..

Thanks

Who is everyone? The EVF on my A-6000 shows me exactly what the photo will be. What is the problem with that.
I guess according to you I would then be a "no-one" since I think the EVF is pretty handy. Works like a charm.

My experience is that the A6000 is an excellent camera. No pitfalls.
If you feel the viewfinder is the most important aspect of a camera, you might be happier with the A6300 or the A6500.

Why, all three have the same size EVF? All three have the exact same specs in the EVF.
Why would he be happier with the two that are the exact same thing as the one as far as the EVF goes?

I'm guessing that first decimal point is a comma. There are lots to choose from in the 1,000 $ category, US and Canadian. For the money one of your best options is a Sony A6300 kit. Personally, I'm waiting for the G1X III to hit the street.

A Sony A6300 interchangeable lens camera is not a Bridge camera, it is a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera.
