I went to waste treatment facilities in the West Palm Beach area that were excellent.

How about the photo editing software provided by your camera manufacturer?

There are numerous file recovery programs that I would expect to work if you are trying to recover lost photos.

I will try that, can you tell me what back buttons work in that scenario?

I use the AF On button for The Center focus back button and programmed the camera * button to eye detection.

I have 2 buttons set up for back button focus. One is for center point focus to home in on the subject quickly. The other is set to eye detect so once homed on the subject can quickly switch to eye detect, if that helps.

recb, thank you for providing that nuanced detail...as an amateur, I don't always think about or know about these subtleties in light. I am appreciative of you comment and grateful that OM-1 will let me adjust the final exposure in real time! Otherwise, I would have had a lot of post-processing to do!

I think I will see what the weight is of my heaviest lens and camera and use that combination extensively when practicing at the zoo! Linda

As you are attending a photo trip, I expect they will cover the light situation and provide tips on settings.
Regarding lens weight, you shouldn't need to do much pure handholding of a long lens. Nathab provide bean bags for cushioning and you can use windows and the outside railing for support. You're just not allowed to drop anything!

Did NatHab ever respond to me just like you when I asked if there was a time that I didn't want to be with the group if I could just wander around by myself taking photos!! Their answer came back a swift and definite "NO"! I feel confident that their guides are very experienced. Thank you for your comments!

Yes Nathab guides are very experienced and extremely knowledgeable. They really yake the whole experience to a new level. Hope you appreciate that the time when bears are around waiting for the water to freeze is not the time that one can wander around alone.

Photographing light colored bears on a white background will need compensation to “over expose”. By default the cameras auto exposure will under expose. Bears can be close but I would expect most to be a considerable distance away, so I would want the longest focal length I could handle.

I'm thinking of getting this program to control my impulse to import everything into Lightroom. Just wondering if anyone's used it or is using it and is happy with it.I do practically all of my processing in LR Classic.

I use it. Great work flow tool.

Go for the R5 and if you have fast sd cards you don’t need to buy the newer cards unless you video. The R5 advantages over the 5D really shine for wildlife.
