Thank you for your response. I have not tried any lenses for the phone but am thinking of purchasing a telephoto lens. I am hoping Apple releases more than 3x in the next generation of the iphone.
I have the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Can you say a little more about the 100mm lens you used? Is it a screw mount or clamp mount? Would you recommend it? Have you tried a telephoto lens for your phone?
Basil, I am certainly not an expert, but I have this lens and have not had issues with vignetting. And, yes, Lightroom has the camera profile. The only issue I had was with manual focus not sticking while shooting the aurora borealis but that was corrected with a firmware update to the R6 and is not an issue with my new R6 MII.
If you look at the MasterClass site you will see that they offer more than 80 courses taught by professionals in a diverse subject matter. There is a lot to view and learn and a great opportunity for families because of the wide variety of subjects. Jimmy Chin also has a course in MasterClass. I purchased it for myself and gifted my son's family with the other membership.
Another endorsement for LensRentals.com. Superb service with lens FedEx'd and you have to sign for receipt of the shipment.
Everyone I know who has gone on a trip to Alaska has loved it. I have motion sickness so I don't do cruises and most people I know do a combo of fjords and land. I would love to shoot the Northern Lights. I have a new Canon RP mirrorless and love shooting with it and learning as I go. I just turned 74 this spring and have gotten more interested in photography since my 2nd retirement 2 years ago. Thanks for responding. I hope you enjoy your trip to Alaska.
Hi dbfalconer,
I am in East Lansing. I want to make sure you know this was an original kickstarter purchase and may be a bit different from what you saw in the movie but I'm sure it is basically the same. There is plenty of room for a jacket and snacks, etc. in the roll top. Because this bag has the photographer's bundle, the upper part and anything in the roll top is kept from falling through to the bottom.
I am also female, but taller than you and likely much older than you. I think one benefit of the bag is that it is thinner/less bulky than some other backpacks. The pocket you referenced lays flat but unzips for water bottle or tripod. The bundle I bought also included some additional straps that I believe are intended to allow you to strap a tripod to the bottom of the bag. As I said in the ad, I used the bag on one trip so it is in excellent condition.
Zay Reynolds
WANDRD PRVKE 31L Backpack (Blue) with the photography bundle including: Rainfly, Waist straps, Accessory straps, and Camera Cube. In excellent condition, used on only one trip. $175
I would also suggest Natural Bridge State Park. Natural Bridge is a geological formation in Rockbridge County, Virginia, comprising a 215-foot-high natural arch with a span of 90 feet. It is situated within a gorge carved from the surrounding mountainous limestone terrain.

Hi
Can anyone advise on focus bracketing with the Canon RP with following 2 macro lens. Neither are listed on the Canon website in the group of "official supported by focus bracketing":
Canon 100mm f2.8 usm - non IS version
Tamron 180mm f3.5 AF macro lens
Appreciate user experience / advise on above or any other lens not considered officially compatible. Mainly, does it work.

GBL, have you watched the short RP In a Snap video on focus bracketing on Youtube? It helped me understand how to use focus bracketing.

What is your favorite method to transfer iPhone photos to your PC? I watched a video that showed how to change the devise driver so Windows would see the iPhone as a USB device instead of trying to open it with iTunes. Then you could just connect the phone and download the photos without having to install iTunes first. Your thoughts.
I use the app "photo transfer"which I have on both my phone and my PC.
Beautiful region; great capture!
