Hi, I'm looking at these 3 lens and am torn on which one to go with. I'm hoping someone may have experience with them. There are some obvious differences such as The Sigma does not offer a lens foot, weight, price ect. Any real life experience would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tom

I am just an enthusiast with an entry level Canon Rebel T6s. However, I purchased a refurbished 100-400 L IS II refurbished from Canon and it was worth. every. penny!!! Here are some shots I took just two days ago with it. It auto focuses fast enough for me!

Same here and I agree 100%. I've had mine for 3 yrs. I also have a Canon MX922 which I use for document printing, scanning and some photo printing (smaller sizes). Other than the cost of ink I have no complaints with either printer.

I also agree with the Canon MX922. I think my photos come out great with this printer. Because I like it so much, my son and niece and brother-in-law have all purchased it too. I paid $70 for it a few years back from Best Buy. My son bought his 3 months ago and it was $198 on Amazon.

I was using a new Canon 100mm L macro lens today when something happened that was very strange. I was using it on a Canon 6D Mark ll when after probably 6-8 shots in a row it would not work again.
After letting it sit for awhile it worked again but the same thing happened. The lens is only 3 days old, purchased new. The camera is only a few months old purchased from B & H. I put the lens on a new 90D and had no problems. Anyone have any ideas.

This is so weird. The SAME thing happened to me two days ago. I was trying to use my 100 mm L macro lens to take a picture of a ladybug on my 6DMII. I shot maybe 15 pictures and then it locked up. It wouldn’t let me take a picture and my back screen stayed on. If I shut my camera off or pulled my battery out, the problem went away. Then I turned the camera back on, shot a few more pics, and it locked up on me again too. I put the lens on my crop camera and haven’t had a problem.

Right now I have a Canon Rebel T6s. I use it mainly for shooting wildlife and birds in my yard with it. It stays on my tripod 99% of the time. I get beautiful photos with it using my Canon 100-400 L II lens, even through windows. I also have a Canon 6DM2 full frame for other purposes. My question …. now that the 90D is out and is shooting 10 fps and has a new sensor and a touch screen, yada, yada, yada …. would anyone suggest upgrading to this or purchasing the 5-year-old 7DM2 since that camera is great for wildlife and shoots the same 10 fps, also the 65 focus points. If I use video, I'll use my full frame so that's not something I'm worried about. I have read that Canon will probably not be coming out with a 7DM3. The two cameras mentioned above are about the same price (90D new and 7DM2 refurbished right now). Just not sure the best way to go. Thanks for any info.

What Canon L lens would be good for an 80 D. I read many a comments that said do not waste your money on and L lens for a crop camera.

I have the Canon Rebel T6s crop camera and use the 100-400 L IS II lens on it for all my birding. It was not a waste of money for me!

I have the 6DM2 as well. I don't use it often, but it's great in low light. I tend to keep my T6s on my tripod with my EF 100-400 L IS II because I love taking pictures of birds in the yard. I took my 6DM2 and 24-105 L with me on vacation, however. Both of my cameras have a touch and rotating screen and I LOVE those features!

Here’s another vote for the 24-105 L. That’s one of the best lenses I own and it spends most of its time competing with the 100-400 LII for time on the camera. Plus it will fit your 60D.

These are the only two lenses I own and use on both my T6s and 6DM2. Detail is amazing!

All kidding aside - $70 for a gimbal? It had better come with a no-deductible insurance policy in the event that it fails and drops your camera/lens onto the rocks.
$70 was an 8 hour sale. The regular price is $175. Hopefully it will be a decent head.

Has anyone here purchased one of these? If so, what is your assesment?

I actually ordered one myself last week after watching some of the You Tube videos. I'm just an enthusiast. Hope it works for what I need it for.

I would like to purchase a tripod base that can be used with a Gimbal head. I have no idea where to start looking. I currently have an Alta pistol grip tripod that I hate with a passion and does not have a removable head so I can replace it with a Gimbal head. Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks in advance.

I was lucky to capture this barred owl through our living room window at 9:30 last night. I set my camera to "auto", shut the flash off, relied on outdoor lights, and used Live View. I didn't want to take the chance missing the shot with any other settings. Shot with my Canon Rebel T6s and a 100-400 L IS II Canon lens. ISO was 6400. I am totally hyped on the outcome.

My Canon MX920 does great for my printing.
Others are sent to Costco.

I have the same Canon printer. Does a GREAT job printing my photos, puts Walgreens photos to shame. I bought some photos that they adhered to wood. The prints were so bad I came home reprinted on my Canon and Mod Podged them over the ones Walgreens printed. Now my hallway is a gallery of my favorite photos and I can change them out anytime I want.

I am looking to purchase an "L" zoom lens. Brand new it is $2099. B&H has it for $1799. Canon refurbished on their website it is $1679. Lens Authority has it for $1470 with cosmetic rated as excellent and glass rated as excellent. Performance says passed. Would I be taking a big risk trying to save $200 going this route? I checked the forum and didn't find much and Googled reviews on this company. I have purchased both my cameras and all my lenses through Canon's refurbished site, but I wanted the opinion here on UHH. Thanks in advance.

Drove by this eagle twice in the same day without my camera in the car. Drove home to get my camera and hard to believe he was still in the same spot. There was a dead red fox on the side of the road he had been munching on. How appropriate this was the day before mid-election voting. I was bummed it was such a gloomy day so not much contrast. It was on a busy road so had to pull off to the side of the road and sit in my car with my window open to capture these.
