Can you imagine 600,000,000 electronic devices in one spot?

There is a company called Max(something) that attempts to pinpoint people that authorities are searching for. It uses cell phone pinging to accomplish this. Unfortunately, it's not a perfect system. In some cases, all the system can determine is that the location is in the United States. What it does is pick a spot that's roughly in the center of the country - in Kansas, at 37°N and 97°W. It has 600,000,000 devices located in that one spot. Unfortunately, people live in a house located there. They have received dozens of "visits" from the police, FBI, fire departments, ambulances, and other services. After several years, someone figured out what was happening, and these visits declined, but they did not stop entirely. So much for modern technology.

I'm getting ads for the new On1 RAW 2022. I haven't done DSLR time lapse in years. I have a little Brinno TLC camera that takes the pictures and produces the video automatically. I wonder if this new ON1 feature is worth $80. Probably not. There are other improvements to ON1, but I think I'll be able to resist - maybe.

Do any of you have the 2022 version of ON1?

$49.99 if you qualify.

I like the Cotton Vest except for one thing. That lug that has to be screwed into the tripod socket is a problem because it has to be removed in order to use a tripod. I wish there was a holster that cradles the camera body and keeps the tripod socket free for use. If I know I won't be using a tripod the Cotton Vest is comfortable and very well designed.

Has anybody updated to the latest release of Photoshop, version 2.2.1? I was unable to open any files of any format, and had to downgrade to ver 2.2.

Do you mean 22.1? My version is 22.1 and working fine. I have not yet received the 22.3 update.

Awesome images, vcmestimator. #1 is stunning. Is that Manzanita Lake?

Yesterday on the shores of Lake Ontario in Albion, NY, my wife found this rock, which immediately reminded me of a certain planet. Anyone else out there have a similar experience/photo to share?

Every time I think that if I just buy this one more thing my photo life will be complete, GAS rears its head. We're going on vacation to Chincoteague Island in May and will be on the Assateague Channel with a great view. I'm hoping for some bird shots while there, and wild pony shots. The longest lens I have is a 55-250mm right now.
My camera is an EOS t2i, and at my level it suits me just fine. I'm not interested in competing with the excellent wildlife photographers on here, just in making the best of what I have.
Just FYI I've already researched the lens, and though not rated as sharp as prime lenses the Tamron looks to be one I can shoot handheld, my preference and has good i.s. I'll pick up a lenscoat for it and a case, too.

Lens Authority has one for $620.00. I just purchased a G2 from them and it is pristine. They are the same people who operate Lens Rentals.

I will keep that in mind. And I like the blown sun. That's exactly how it appears when there's no haze to filter the light.
Just a thought; how about a smaller aperture to create a sun star? Of course, you could add that in post.

Beautifully done, Linda.

My Blackbirds comment was more veiled, but that was my exact thought.
