After the stop at Jackass Joe's.... the sky above the Books became became black, drops of rain occasionally fell and that turned to graupel, and the backroad route beckoned. That last pano of the Bookcliffs is outstanding.

Beautiful bridge. I see it has those "fenders/bumpers" to help keep ships from hitting the columns.

I'm guessing this is south of Kona going towards the Punalu'u Bake Shop? Nice shot of a beautiful Tiger.

I couldn't live like that. I need clear skies, especially at night.

I wanted a bison on a hill, not quite what I had in mind and I had to wait for others in the background to leave and hope that this one stayed put. For once this one cooperated and the others were nice enough to step out of the photo!

The first one could win prizes everywhere. WOW!

Taken at Jones Beach. The Air Force Thunderbirds. This was taken at practice when you do not have all that smoke filling the skyโ€™s and it is nice and clear. Canon EOS 1D Mark IV ISO 1250

Excellent.

Yes, you could with room to spare. I said 2.15 acres per person. If the available land per family were considered it would be in excess of 4 acres. I know that a lot of Texas is mountains, desert and badlands. My comment was just a statistic. We all know you can deceive with statistics. BUT, if 8 billion people were living in the USA, and we didn't have jackasses running the country, or a selfish people, we could house and feed the entire Earth population with ease. There would need to be a lot of logistics to work-out.

It would be a far better world for everyone if greed, inhumanity and terrible governments didn't exist.

There is an error in the above It should say 17,200,480,000 acres, not square miles. I regret the misleading error.

But you could put them all inside Texas.

both your phone and computer use the internet to sync the clock and of course internet time is accurate enough. But independent clocks are not accurate. As I said early most quartz clocks only accurate to 15 seconds a month and that bother me more than the fact that I have to reset them twice a year. I think I reset my clocks more often than once a month.

Once when we were staying a few months south of Lake Havasu City Arizona, my cellphone would change a few times a day between California time and Arizona proper time. Talk about frustrating.
