I have a CitiCard credit card that I use only as a source for Virtual Account Numbers. I can set up a virtual account number for any amount I choose, that is good for any number of Months I choose - I set mine for 1 month, and it can be used only once. I use this for all online purchases. That way I have no credit card on file that can be hacked no matter how secure the place is (or isn't.)

Almost fifty years ago I met my wife while taking square dance lessons. This seems appropriate.

I was already married when we started square dancing. Now that my knees won't take it and my wife passed, it's one of the activities I miss most.

Impressive photographs too.

I've visited 20 of these, how many have you visited?

I've only been to 5 of these places and there are only 2 or 3 others I would like to visit. As others have said, cities are at the bottom of my list.

Here's wishing you All a very Happy Thanksgiving with family and friends. As the turkey says

I used to drive past a farmer's feed lot (steers) that had a large round hay bale on the other side of the road. It sat with the round end facing the road and the ends were "decorated" with the head and tail of a turkey sticking up from the bale. There was a large sign saying "eat beef."

I have a large number of photo files that I want to rename such as this:

TSC_3881.NEF to TSC_3881 2020 09-08 10-42-15.NEF

with the date and time from the EXIF data.

I have Advanced Renamer for Windows which claims to be able to do this, but none of the methods they suggest works. Is there any of the rename utilities that will do what I want?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

What the hell is the matter with you people?!!! Do you lack all common sense, decency, and caring for your family and friends?! If you have the virus and wear a mask it will provide a measure of protection from the virus for those around you. Are you so self involved that the well being of those you socialize with is of no consequence? Do you care for no one but yourself?

I've tried a couple of backup programs. and settled on Cobian Backup. It copies without compressing or otherwise messing with the files and I can choose what I want and don't want included from drive down though folders to actual files. I can access the backups with any program to open or copy files. I run it at night when I'm done working and have it shut off the computer when it's done.

One of my neighbors lost two family members to Covid 19. It’s real. It’s different. It’s not flu. It’s got a five day incubation period that is also the time you are most contagious.

My pharmacy closed abruptly today. They are closed until further notice, due to Covid 19. Their staff were all exposed... How many customers were exposed, too?

Yeah, life sucks sometimes. Wash your hands. Wear a mask to protect others from you, just in case you’re incubating the virus. Stay 6’ / 2m away from others when possible — especially avoid any disrespectful morons NOT wearing a mask.

If you think this is fake, go read the history of the plague, or the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918.

Right on. Luckily, my grocery store won't let you in without a mask, but If I have to go to Home Depot or some other places, I run into too many morons without masks.

DST = Damn Stupid Time
I wish they'd do away with the time changes, and leave it the same all year long.

I haven't seen any official word on it yet, but I keep hearing that Illinois passed a law making it DST year round. So now we won't have to change the clocks again. (Unless the politicians get some other stupid idea.)

Haven't read all the replies so this may be a repeat. In many years of IT work at the university, the hardest thing to convince office managers of was the necessity of not having anything on drive C: except the operating system and programs. All data files of every kind should be on a separate drive. That way, the C: drive never gets overfilled and doesn't need to be huge.

QUIZ FOR MY VERY BRIGHTFRIENDS

There are only nine questions.

This is a quiz for people who know everything!

I found out in a hurry that I didn't, so I’m sending it on.

These are not trick questions.

They are straight questions with straight answers...

1. Name the one sport in which neither the spectators nor the participants know the score or the leader until the contest ends.

2. What famous North American landmark is constantly moving backward?

3 Of all vegetables, only two can live to produce on their own for several growing seasons. All other vegetables must be replanted every year. What are the only two perennial vegetables?

4. What fruit has its seeds on the outside?

5. In many liquor stores, you can buy pear brandy, with a real pear inside the bottle. The pear is whole and ripe, and the bottle is genuine; it hasn't been cut in any way. How did the pear get inside the bottle?

6. Only three words in standard English begin with the letters ' dw' and they are all common words. Name two of them.

7. There are 14 punctuation marks in English grammar. Can you name at least half of them?

8. Name the only vegetable or fruit that is never sold frozen, canned, processed, cooked, or in any other form except fresh.

9. Name 6 or more things that you can wear on your feet beginning with the letter 'S.'

Answers To Quiz:

1. The one sport in which neither the spectators nor the participants know the score or the leader until the contest ends: Boxing.

2. North American landmark constantly moving backward: Niagara Falls  ... The rim is worn down about two and a half feet each year because of the millions of gallons of water that rush over it every minute.

3. Only two vegetables that can live to produce on their own for several growing seasons: Asparagus and rhubarb.

4. The fruit with its seeds on the outside:Strawberry.

5. How did the pear get inside the brandy bottle? It grew inside the bottle. The bottles are placed over pear buds when they are small, and are wired in place on the tree. The bottle is left in place for the entire growing season. When the pears are ripe, they are snipped off at the stems.

6. Three English words beginning with dw: Dwarf, dwell and dwindle...

7. Fourteen punctuation marks in English grammar: Period, comma, colon, semicolon, dash, hyphen, apostrophe, question mark, exclamation point, quotation mark, brackets, parenthesis, braces, and ellipses.

8. The only vegetable or fruit never sold frozen, canned, processed, cooked, or in any other form but fresh: Lettuce.

9. Six or more things you can wear on your feet beginning with 'S':Shoes, socks, sandals, sneakers, slippers, skis, skates, snowshoes, stockings, stilts.
QUIZ FOR MY VERY BRIGHTFRIENDS br br There are on... (show quote)

3 depends on where you live and what you consider a vegetable. For example, I have to plant my tomatoes every year, but friends of mine live far enough south that the tomatoes keep growing and growing. Also, I don't have to replant garlic or multiplier onions once I get them going.
