Try going to Amazon's main page and then clicking on the menu icon near the top left of the page (with the word "All"). Scroll down under "Digital Contents & Devices" and click on "Amazon Photos". Click on "Amazon Photos" under "Amazon Photos" (makes more sense once you see it).

There may be a better method, but this got me there as a Prime member who has not used the service.

Did you make sure you were using the login for your Costco account and not your Costco Photo Center account?

I may fall into the disparaged class, but I don't understand (agree with?) your comment. CHG_CANON's response appears to me to be clear, intelligent, and helpful. Your reply may make him less likely to offer advice. That would be a loss to the forum.

I received the "Quick Release L-Bracket & Camera Vertical ..." from Happytopstar through AliExpress. The bracket fits well for the most part. Looks good and feels solid. It was shipped in a soft pack. The bracket does not interfere with the camera LCD. It does prevent the battery door opening far enough to remove/insert the battery. The door hits part of the bracket very ear the door hinge when the door is open about 45 degrees. Someone trying to open the door a little further could put a lot of strain on it.

An addendum to my previous post:
The flip bracket to which I referred is this: Stroboframe 300-115 Vertaflip….
Interesting. I didn’t know that such a thing exists (existed).

The bracket is very stable in both orientations with no detectable movement. All of the ports, SD card slot and the battery case are accessible without removing the bracket, although the battery access is a bit cramped.
Thanks. That covers considerations that are important to me.

I have the L bracket you referenced from eBay ($20) on my RX 10 iv with a Kirk Enterprise PZ-17 quick release plate attached for my QD strap. Never comes off. Pictures available if requested.
Does it impede any positioning of the LCD?
Can you get at all cable connections with the camera on the tripod in portrait and landscape orientation?
Does she the camera ring (vibrate) more when in portrait than when in landscape orientation?

Thanks for the responses.

I wish I had learned of someone's actual experience, but I did not. I placed a $18 bet with AliExpress for a Happytopstar L-Bracket. Due in a month. I'll try to remember to leave some comment when I have tried it for future benefit.

Thanks for replying. I am interested. I have seen nonames on eBay for $20+. I am trying to differentiate.
1) Have you noticed any problems with the one you have used? E.g.,
Insufficient rigidity when used with portrait orientation?
Blocking access to battery compartment, camera plug sockets, etc.
Not staying firmly attached to camera.
Does it hinder positioning the LCD display at all?

2) Does it look like this one (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32849418899.html)?

I am looking for an L-Plate so that I can use my RX10M4 on a tripod head with an Arca-Swiss mount. I would appreciate anyone's positive/negative experiences with specific L-Plates on this camera (probably earlier model Rx10s would be relevant).
Thanks

... I have read really good things about the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 IV. My question: will using this camera be fairly intuitive or will I face similar frustrations.

I do a lot of close ups, mainly flowers, but since I am in Florida I would love to try my hand at some bird photography.

I bought this camera to lighten my load for an African safari last year. with non-photographers. I was a Nikon shooter with a D600 and a bunch of lenses. I had concerns about dust and reaction time changing lenses in an open-sided land cruiser.

The camera performs well for me. I mostly shot RAW and used the full zoom range of the lens. I got increased noise and a need to have the subject fill the frame because of the small sensor size. Both of these problems can be mitigated in post.

The menu system is very strange after years of Nikon. I still have trouble internalizing it as a whole system rather than many loosely connected parts. I concur with the recommendations for Knight's book. His explanations were far clearer than the official manual but my mind's eye concept of the menu still wasn't hanging together.

Take a look at "Sony RX10iv for Point and Shoot Nature Photography Guide" (https://psnp.info/psnp_/?p=1525) by Steve Ingraham. It's a free download with a request for a contribution if you find it useful. His explanations are also clearer. He also talks about how he uses the camera, the settings he uses, and why he does things the way he does. That helped me a lot.

dmeyer,

I found the image file you uploaded. It has some nice rich colors, so I tried an experiment to see if you be dealing with a range of colors too rich to print with Vistaprint's setup.

There are many CMYK profiles. They are usually very tied to particular combinations of printer/presses and papers and inks. I know nothing about Vistaprint. I chose "Working CMK - U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2" out of the many CMYK choices in my PS (no reason).

I downloaded, saved, and opened it the file PS. PS treated it as sRGB. I selected a proof color of "Working CMYK" and displayed it in proof color with gamut warning. The display soft proof is shown in the picture. The gray areas are the gamut warnings. The gray color is an indicator of where the problems are; it does not mean that you will actually see gray. It means that the color you would see in Working CMYK will differ from the color you would see in sRGB. That color cannot be accurately expressed in Working CMYK. There are a lot of colors that can be expressed in sRGB, but are beyond the range of Working CMYK. Typically (maybe always) it will be less saturated. If your print looked bad in just the areas that show the gamut warning it may mean that your print has colors too rich for their printers/papers (or whatever CMYK profile they handle).

You can do soft proofing in LR (hit S in Develop module), but apparently you cannot select any CMYK profile in versions 2015.5/6.6 or later. I have never used it. I expect it is only used when you have an image in one of the richer RGBs and have to export in sRGB.

This may help explain things. If not my quiver is empty. Good luck.

... I asked Vistaprint's customer service what I could do to get better images and was told to be sure I exported in CMYK and not sRGB....
That surprises me.

Vistaprint's web site says "Rest assured, we own a state-of-the-art printing facility that matches on-screen colors (RGB) to printed colors (CMYK) as close as possible." [see: https://www.vistaprint.com/customer-care/customer-care-center-subject.aspx?SubjectId=60&GP=10%2f18%2f2021+19%3a17%3a30&GPS=6082871693&GNF=0].

Washed out colors can be a symptom of an image in adobeRGB being treated as an image in sRGB. You might double-check to make sure that you exported it in sRGB and not one of the other RGBs. I don't know if LR includes the profile in the export or it Vistaprint checks the profile - a failure on either would result in an image that looked less colorful.

Good day all,
My first post here - I hope I'm doing the right thing here.
When I upload a set of photos from my RX10m4 (fantastic camera) there's usually one file that gets misnamed and without a suffix added - e.g. .jpg I look for a gap in the numbering within the set to rename the file with the correct name. Anyone else found this? And what might be the solution?
Thanks,
Boggles

My understanding of our description of the problem:
1) Occurs on an UNSTATED computer running an UNSTATED operating system at an UNSTATED version.
2) Impacts one or zero image files each upload.
3) The image file (UNSTATED format) is correct on the computer, but the name is not.
4) The image file (UNSTATED format) is correct on the card (necessary), but is is UNSTATED if the file name is correct.

You have already learned that yours is not a common problem. It is probably something that is fairly unique to your situation. If everything is correct on your cards, then it is likely some rare computer problem. If the problem shows up on the cards, then it is likely a card or camera problem. The missing details in your description may help lead to a solution.

Please provide more information:
1) State all the UNSTATEDs and correct any misunderstandings I listed.
2) Does this happen on multiple cards or just one?
3) What is the manufacturer/model of your cards and how old are they?
4) Do you format your cards in the camera or the computer?
5) Do you reformat every time you reuse a card?
6) What is the file system on the cards (e.g., exFAT)
4) Provide a real sequence of image file names that demonstrate the problem (e.g., IMG_0034.jpg, A%SG2A, IMG_0036.jpg).

After reading the responses, I would like to make a suggestion. Instead of worrying about keeping your cards straight, and buying multiple cards, why not purchase a device that will allow you to write all of your files to a second medium - like a large thumb drive. You can get a 512 GB USB 3.0 stick for $65.

https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-SDCZ73-512G-G46-Everything-Stromboli-Lanyard/dp/B087YQHK78/ref=sr_1_24?dchild=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwgOGCBhAlEiwA7FUXkqVYxlFdw59Mo7o-rHqK75D8Uhb0HK-UHKAKWP-4Lz6Kp2jpFoLdnBoCghwQAvD_BwE&hvadid=410003449592&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9007515&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=1049066297709855167&hvtargid=kwd-16434792&hydadcr=24662_11410883&keywords=memory+sticks&qid=1616409196&refinements=p_n_size_browse-bin%3A10285020011%2Cp_n_feature_keywords_two_browse-bin%3A6931972011&rnid=6931969011&s=pc&sr=1-24

And a mini router with an SD reader - a RavPower File Hub

https://www.amazon.com/RAVPower-FileHub-Wireless-Portable-Transfer/dp/B07P5QDQ1B/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=ravpower+router&qid=1616409440&s=electronics&sr=1-1-spons&psc=1&smid=AY78UD59U41CU&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzSzZPSEIwTUk3VFYwJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNTcxNjk2VE5UUFcwUzdCSjdUJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA2OTg0ODUxVzQzMEVKT08xNURNJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

This way you can store your files in folders named the way you like - all in one (preferably two, with a second thumb drive). I use an earlier version of this when traveling - very easy to use, and you can manage the file transfer with any wireless device. In short, it sets up a local wifi network, and uses a phone, tablet or computer to initiate (or you can do it with a single button press on the router) and monitor the file transfer. Another bonus is that it has a 6700mAh battery which can charge a phone several times. This also can plug in to a wired network (often found in hotels), and let you use up to 5 devices on its private network.

You go out and shooot - when you come back you load the day's images into their own folder on the thumb drive. Then back them up to a second thumb drive. It's fast and easy.
After reading the responses, I would like to make ... (show quote)

Gene51,

The RAVPower FileHub sounds like a good idea. I like the fact that it is portable, light weight, and does not require a PC or smart phone to copy SD cards to a USB "disk". The model you suggested is hard/impossible to get currently. Do you know of similar items?

Thanks.
